I've been having a lot of pressure in my head, feeling dizzy, having trouble turning around at dancing and keeping my balance, headaches, nausea etc etc. I'm thinking it's vertigo. ANyone had any experience with vertigo and causes etc? I'd like to avoid doctors so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The effects are making exercise hard and that's not helpful while I'm trying to get healthy again Sad

hey Artymama, I had this a bit at the beginning as my blood sugar balanced out. I would also get the shakes and breathless. Rest if you can. If you are really worried you could go and see your healer. I would just go and sit down for 10 minutes until it passed but I was an at home mum at the time... it was easier.

Running on Raw!!

I had vertigo caused by an allergy to wheat - the inflammation caused my inner ears to fill with fluid which disrupted my balance mechanism.  I'd get the sensation of the whole world flipping or spinning around me, couldn't tell which way was up, and once it passed would come the sweating and nausea - a bit like seasickness.  I had headaches and a sore throat/swollen tongue all the time because of the allergy.  Once I stopped eating wheat it all went away and I've never had it again.

Have you had any earache, sensation of fullness in the ears or excessive congestion in the sinuses?  If it were me, I'd want to get it checked out unless there's something you can think of that you might be having a reaction to.

Hmmmm....this is sounding veeeery familiar. While we've been eating 80% raw, I haven't been so strict about my gluten intake. I think this is probably the problem, and maybe the blood sugar levels too. Thanks for your replies.
