At the ripe age of two Bella has started the practice of Coprophagia. Eating other dogs poo. Yetch. She has not done this before and it seems odd that she would now. She isn't eating her own but just ate some other dogs out in the reserve.

I've just googled and it seems the problem could be:

Some kind of deficiency
Worms. A possibility as she has lost weight also.
Habit - hard to believe as it's the first time that I know of.

So I need to know, what natural methods can we use for worm control in dogs?

What can I add to her diet to make it more complete?

At the moment she is eating about 6 chicken necks per day with a bone every second day and also green smoothies about 4 times per week.

I'd love any advise. I'm loathe to give her regular worming tablets for dogs.

In hindsight, the worms would be reduced if she wasn't eating so much meat. I have always maintained that I believe that a dog should eat with us what it would eat in the wild and I've not seen to many wild vegan dogs! However after reading Ani Phyos' book I am tempted. Her vegan dog looks amazing.

Thanks for all of your help guys. I have done a lot of reading and it seems that it's cats stuff she is after. From what I have seen. I have been to the dog park with her and she doesn't touch it.

I remember Freedom saying something here somewhere about feeding dogs whole fish. Don't a lot of people feed cats tinned cat food with fish in it? I think I might have to investigate.
