While I am all for taking personal responsability I feel that this is a vitally important issue (This is actually in support of the 1200 women that were genitally mutilated under the hands of Graeme Reeves. His malprcatice is just the tip of the iceberg and doesn't stop with obstetric and gynaecological issues. Most people have had personal experience or known someone who has suffered unecessarily at the hands of this so-called health-care system. We have to be the change we want to see in the world.)

Rally For Accountability: make healthcare about consumers!

Women (and families) across Australia will rally at Parliament Houses at 12 midday on the 28th of March 2008.

The many shocking cases of abuse highlighted in the media of medical boards and health departments failing their duty of care to consumers, have horrified women across Australia.

Rallies are happening in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Canberra, Perth and Adelaide.

We must express our horror and outrage that medical malpractice is allowed to happen in our health system. We must show our support for the victims, and send the clear message that this must never be allowed to happen again, and that perpetrators must be brought to justice.
