interesting reading between this pages... the raw-folk diverges hey  laugh
as for the protein issue' Love Spirit and others' i add my cents worth...:

for some and other reason i was also investigating in this area lately (cons or unconscioussly) and came across the 'Hemp Protein Powder' you mentioned before when visiting some friends... its apparently very qualitativ and safe and prepared on very low-temps... i also add sparingly some good quality Maca (the Root-powder) and feel fine with that actually (would like to know what Harley thinks about that, you can PM me)... have you tried eating some yummy Lentil sprouts and add seeds like Sunflower, Sesame Seeds (a complete protein), Pumpkin all in good ratio with your  'trendy' greens....? a great way i.m.o. is to keep your diet well balanced and the fat ratio not to high especially during the day (have it later on evtl) so your body is 'open' to receive and absorb all the nutrients on easy digestion... staying away from salt and getting-absorbing minerals like Iron, Magnesium, Calcium, Sodium from greens like 'a hand of parsley everyday', celery and wild edible greens like Dandelion (4 leafs a day cover daily needs of essential Vitamin and most/many Minerals) and Nettle for example is a great way Annette to get your levels up... you can juice your Barleygreens (or add Barley Powder low temp to smoothies) and water em with salty water in 1/10 proportion also and drink the water (rejuvelac) of soaked grains for the 'enzymes' that you/we certainly need...
have said enough now... i think this whole thread here has answered also questions i was questioning and i have to apply now... thanks for that mirroring everyone...

if we want to change our monetary-system we have to change the Time we're trapped in... only by tuning in a more Harmonic and Natural Flow of Creation (as Spiritual Societies before us did) we are able to break the 'predatory materialistic pattern' set up by gridy Individuals here on Earth!

Follow the moon-cycle and intuition is a step...

Viva la Raw... fruitarian and not... LOL

no disent, just positive intent.

was talking to doug this morn and he told me his side. but i know its gonna raz up some crew so im not gonna post it.

as for seb and his bowl of fruit..seb 'stole' his fruit from the kiddies table! lol!
i was there in 06 and there was more fruit than could be eaten. well i was the only person not scared of bananas after someone gave a talk. i was there blending banana smoothies with the exercise bike blender...

got this email this morn from an rv friend of mine jen whom attended in 07.

"That's funny you ask that... I thought I'd told you the story.

Short version is -- NO -- there wasn't much fruit AT ALL.

I had asked the people if there was a non-meal admission price, but there wasn't.  We had to pay the regular ticket price, even without eating the gourmet high fat (grains, oils, etc).  There was a KIDS TABLE which always had lots of fruit, but they were pretty strict about letting "adults" take some fruit.  I didn't have the audacity to do it, but Sepaz ate all he cared for from the kids lot.  I packed a sack of bananas and celery each day."

i edited it slightly to avoid jen sounding 'elitist' to some. i just deleted a few words. added nothing.

this forum is very unique in the fact that many variations of raw vegan are accepted. personally ive been banned from some for my simplistic, tree pick'n, nature lov'n, sugar talk.

to answer ivans question on powders..i feel too stimulated by them. i feel they impact on my kundalini experience more than i desire.

thats a pretty scaring scenario for Fruit lovers there hey...!
i wish seeing the Whole Raw Food Community more free and tolerant to each others viewpoints...
theres no need to put down and divide only because different approach...
perhaps everyone (incl. leaders) should ask himself if thats going to do any good for 'common purpose'...
as for the Maca stimulating i probably em not that sensitive like you DR and feeling ok... will pay more attention next time (i have it sparingly as said)...

i ate a feast of fresh picked green peas of a mates farm today. got about 160g of raw live protein. but i feel its way to much protein..not as fast feeling as just fruits n green. but sometimes you just have to make 'peas' with the variety on raw..bit of experiementation..

check out tim's view on protein..he is one of america's fastest natural runners.

Thank you Annette, my intentions are only good. I just want to see everyone feeling a great as I do being raw. I just won't let go of that and that is why it is so easy for me be all raw.

Why hasn't anyone posted the news that Doug Graham is going to be at Raw Spirit in 2008?

I thought I read through all the posts before posting and am surprised only one person mentioned lentil sprouting and that sprouting has been glossed over. Soy, lentil and pea family sprouts all seem like high performing protein sources, why haven't they been mentioned more.

I'd rather start with cup of chickpea sprouts than a cup of pumpkin seeds or 30 kg's of lettuce to get my 70 odd grams. What am I not being told about legume sprouts?
