where the author explains that cooking in Alluminium is common cause for dark-circles under the eyes...

That is a very interesting theory.

Personally I have never used Aluminium foil for cooking but I wonder if pots have any Aluminium in them. I stopped using non-stick pans a few years ago because of the health associated issues there.

bill's dark circles faded a lot too. But yesterday he needed some dental work done and when he came home the circles were back in full force.

I have heard that mercury fillings are extremely bad for your overall health. I had quite a few fillings as a child, so I wonder if there is a connection with dark circles.

I have just found the following on the web.

Heredity is the primary cause of dark circles.

Skin tone, including transparency of the skin, is also inherited and can make dark circles appear more dramatic.

Exposure to the sun can exacerbate your dark circles. Sunlight darkens the skin by raising melanin levels and bringing melanin to the surface of the skin. These boosted melanin levels make dark circles look darker.

Lack of sleep makes your skin pale, which emphasizes your dark circles. Anything else that makes your skin pale, like fatigue or illness, makes your dark circles much more noticeable.

Pregnancy and menstruation also frequently make your skin pale.

Many people associate allergies with dark circles. This is a real and established connection. In fact, many doctors consider dark circles as an indication of allergies in children.

Age makes dark circles even worse. As we age, the skin of our faces becomes thinner. Thinner skin allows the discoloration of dark circles to be seen more easily, and dark circles become much more obvious.

In some rare cases, lack of vitamins can cause dark circles under the eyes. This is relatively uncommon. Nevertheless, if you're not eating a balanced healthy diet, you may see dark circles. And sometimes changing to a more healthy diet can help to diminish those dark circles.

So I think sticking to raw as much as possible and having a lot of patience will help me.

I have now discounted my original water theory. Only because I realised that my husband also has dark circles but he drinks at least 3L of filtered water everyday and has done so for the past 20 years.

Rhinitus Radio Report : What did you think about the comments ?
Filtered water can still contain fluoride if the filter is not a reverse osmosis and filters can become clogged if not replaced regularly.
If water is drunk close to the time of eating then digestion may be worsened.
Consuming 3 Litres of fruit/vege water might be healthier .

was reading in a book recently that the same author was living in India for many years...

There people usually gather and feast together (this is main job-work there LOL) on rice and legumes cooked in big 'alluminium pots' and always having big dark circles under the eyes more visible after that feasts...
Often people become also very sick after the feasts but they never find the trouble and think its hygienic issue but not always true... so the author anyway explains that the person who followed his advice of not cooking in alluminium pots didnt present the same dark circles (a sign of toxicity i guess) and there was no sickness after the feasts...
i'm sure this is one of the reason of dark circles...
heavy metals are also present in Water, Air, Our Food (contamination), Pesticides, Soil, Processed Foods (machines to process, grind may loos metal) and and whoknows whatelse...

Let's depart on another planet LOL!
