A girlfriend has had my copy for over a year now...so I shall chase it up.  I'd love for you to have use of it!  I have the Aware Baby ~ but that won't be too helpful for you right now!

I'll see about procuring it ASAP for you!  It is a lovely book!  I am excited you'll be reading it soon!

Hey Jen, thanks for sharing yours and Brock's journey with us...I always find it helpful hearing other children's food journeys.

How did you get Brock started on green smoothies?  I think you mentioned previously that he is a big 'grains' eater - breads, pasta, etc.?  If so, then he is similar to Jarra.  I am finding it really challenging to get Jarra onto more raw - but I feel that I would be less concerned about what he eats if he was having a gs somewhere in the day.

Jen, I have Helping young Children Flourish by Aletha Solter. It will arrive with our stuff in about ten weeks if you've not got a copy by then.

Hey Jackson, I started with just enough gs to cover the bottom of the cup. About 1/4 cm deep and told them that if they wanted to eat whatever was on their plate that they had to drink their GS first. Then I gradually increased it until they were having a full 250 ml at a time. Brock is now having two per day. Excellent!

Thanks Becky. I'll let you know. It will be great to see you! Can't wait!

How did you get Brock started on green smoothies?

Hey Jackson, thanks so much for asking this question. I had gone into a fear space about feeding Brock now and was totally panicking on the inside.

A while after writing the reply to this question I had the idea of asking "how will I get Brock to eat more raw?" instead of the fear driven "Why can't I get Brock to eat more raw?" and my mind was drawn almost immediately back to this question and my answer!

So I've been giving him little bits of things that he must eat and increasing them. He had tonight, 1/2 and orange, 1/2 and apple and two prunes. He even remarked in surprise that "Yes this is a nice orange isn't it!" then he had raw ice-cream and chocolate syrup for dinner. A week ago, he was having 1/3 of one segment of orange. Awesome

Thank you so much. I'd still be panicking probably if you had not asked. Mwah!

Isn't it great when you help me with my questions and then you answer your own questions at the same time!
