Keep it going Lulu,
Yes you must have BM daily (at least) but if it occurrs naturally it is ok to have one more often,  when you are fasting, (some people actually get diahorria when fasting).   The tea is fine, make sure you drink heaps and heaps of water as well.  If no BM by night time, then another tea may be inorder.

WELL DONE

Day 97

Day 9 (water/juice)

Ok, today I was sooooooo tired as I was awake alot through the night so by lunch time I decided to have some juice today instead of being all water, feel alot better now.

Water 1/2 day
800mls pineapple/spinach
700mls carrot, tom, sp. onion, celery, corn and spinach

Thanks for the information Frangipanni, I went a small amount yesterday and then again today, but still not much, I did notice that it's when I'm on water that I don't go.

I'm now back on juice until Thursday which was to be water again but I'll take it as it comes from now on, three days on water can be a little tiring.  Not sure how long I'll continue, today is day 9 and my minimum amount to fast was 10 days so I guess anything after that will be fine, I don't want to have a hard time transitioning back to food.

Talking about food, I had the worst dream last night, involved me eating all this junk food (won't mention it here), I was running into all these takeaways and grabbing and eating whatever I could and I was enjoying it, then I was really upset with myself and disappointed that I'd ruined all the good I'd been doing, then I woke up YEH, IT DIDN'T REALLY HAPPEN, boy was I relieved, the funny thing was that I could actually taste the foods!!!

Weighed myself today and I'm 59.5 so I'm down another 1/2 kilo, I started on 68kilos so that's almost 10 in 3 months, yeh.

For dinner I'll have the same juice as before so that will be another 700mls, the vege one not the pineapple one which I found a little too hard on my mouth.

Take care and thanks for reading

Bye now

Day 98 - Monday - fast day 10 (juice)

600 mls - coconut/spinach
800 mls - apple/celery
1,000 mls - carrot, tom, celery, sp. onion, spinach, cucumber & corn
1,000 mls - carrot, tom, celery, sp. onion, spinach, cucumber & corn

This was more juice than normal and I found it hard to get through the last one.  3,400mls in all doesn't sound that much but it's very filling.  I'm proud that I had 2.5 full sticks of celery in total this day, yeh me, I never eat celery but I love it in the juices.

I find it amazing that there is no hunger whatsoever, I'll probably do Thursday and Friday on water all going well.

Bye now

Hi Lulu
you are doing well Lulu, it is inspiring to hear that you are not hungry, i can honestly say that i am not looking forward to my week but the fact that i may not be hungry is quite reassuring, funny how i have no social outings for ages and ages and guess when they all are - last week in July, the week i am planning my fast.  Buti have another engagement which needs to take priority - a week where my whole body can rest, repair  & rebuild.  I am looking forward to my week of R&R.  Well done to the celery, try a stick in the juice, the flavours that you are having should be strong enough to absorb the celery so that way you are having extra celery.

I have noticed over the past few days I am feeling much cooler, and seem to have a lot more energy.  I think the benefits of being raw are starting to 'kick in'. I know that may sound wierd, but for this 50's plus age group woman who had huge hot flushes 4 years ago, to just have a mild warming occasionally and actually need to have a heater on and enjoy wearing a jumper and feel the cold it is wonderful absolutely wonderful.   laugh

Day 100 -  yahh yahh yahh

Day 11 fast - juice

500 mls - coconut/spinach
400 mls - watermelon, orange & strawberry
800 mls - carrot, tom, celery, sp. onion, spinach & corn
800 mls - carrot, tom, celery, sp. onion, spinach, corn, bok choy & beetroot

2500 mls in total + plenty of water

Day 12 fast - juice

400 mls - apple/celery (two whole sticks celery)

Well I have a huge headache right now so I won't say much at all, not sure what's caused it, could be the cold, could be detox but I'm not sure.  My daughter says maybe it's time to start eating again  huh but I'm not sure, I'll see how the rest of the day pans out.

My monthly cam two days early, this never happens I'm usually spot on 28 days.

Thanks for reading and take care

100 days Raw
 juiceup

11 days juice/water fast     Angel

hope the headache has gone, may be you just needed a sitdown for a few minutes with eyes closed - kids on hols and a fast - enough for a headache   laugh
Cycles can be affected by fasting so probably yours is out a couple of days.

Thought i'd try a mandarine for lunch and it was so nice i did not even stop to savour it i greedily devoured it - scoffed it is probably a better terminology............  snicker  and it was all i imagined it to be - delicious.

I am going to take some pics of my skin and put them in my journal soon.   Then you can see the before and after fast pics as well.  I will only do my back as I'm not too keen on having my boobs on the wwnet!    laugh  So you will need to imagine the front   laugh  may be not....... teh heee heee

talk again soon

Hello, I'm back, boy a couple of days goes by quickly doesn't it.

Day 102

Well today I broke my fast on purpose.  I've done 13 days of Juice/water and feel really good but I found I was starting to think too much about food (of the sad variety) so I came to the conclusion it was best to finish my fast on a happy note rather than go in the danger zone of feeling deprived.

What have I got from my little fast, I look better and I feel better.  I wouldn't say I've lost heaps of weight but it has shifted the weight a bit quicker for me which is nice.  My psoriasis doesn't really look alot better but my skin is soooooo soft, love it.

I'd like to do another fast in October, my six month mark.

So today I've had...

Heaps of water
400mls pineapple/spinach juice
warmed up green tea (it's so cold here for me)
2 x dates
small handful of nuts (ooops probably not the best thing to eat after fasting but it was nice to crunch something)

I will probably have a vege juice (slightly warmed) for dinner as I really like them now and I'd like to keep them in my diet at present.

Ok, thanks for reading and keep warm

I also had on Friday...

1 banana (and I did have the vege juice for dinner)

Day 103 - Saturday

coconut/spinach smoothie
water, water, water
2 x dates
vege juice for lunch (I left the corn in kernels and popped them in at the end, it was nice to crunch on them)
1/2 cup nuts, seeds & sultanas
warmed up green tea
water

Today I feel like I've come down with a cold, my nose hasn't stopped running and my head hurts, lol, here I have just fasted with next to no detox symptoms at all and then when I stop fasting this happens, lol, my little one has the same thing so I think it's just because we've had a real cold snap and we just aren't used to it here.

I really feel like a pineapple/spinach drink but I don't have any, I may just have to go get a couple of pineapples to see me through this thing.  It's my birthday on Monday and I want to feel good.

Take care and thanks for reading, bye.

Heyyyy Lulu
Well done, Well done    rose

you have done so well on the fast.  There is a cold/flu thing going around Adelaide, just about every second person that i have met has it and it seems to be a nasty one- lots of tiredness and a cough at the tail end of it.  I have been avoiding it quite nicely and hope that it doesn't catch up with me.....

You might like to try my favourite soup
 slightly warmed carrot soup.
2 c carrot juice
juice of 3 sticks celery (optional)
1/4 avocado
1/4 -1/2 juice lemon
pinch salt
bit of fresh young coconut (optional but tastes yummy in it if you have it - if you dont may like to add a bit more avo)
few stalks coriander - to taste
4 macadamia nuts (optional)
put all into a blender and blend then warm gently over double boiler till body temp - eat with a soup spoon and enjoy.
this might help you to feel comforted during your cold but continue with your healing and Raw food

My fast may have to be put back a week, have a couple of babysitting requests. It will wait
regards
Frangipanni

I love it, it is warming and satisfying

What a balanced way to end a fast! I hope your symptoms clear up soon.

So I didn't get pineapples, I had vege 'soup/juice' for dinner slightly warmed, it was very comforting.  It's funny when you don't feel good you just want comfort food, I find it very annoying because I've come this far without wanting any cooked food, not even really thinking about it and now this, waaaaa, I want to feel better (I'm such a sook).  Ok, I've got myself together again now, well since I've gone off my fast I really haven't 'eaten' much, I've been having juice/smoothie concoctions, funny that, it's a weird sensation to chew again too.

Well I'm off to have a coconut/spinach smoothie, yeh.

Victoria Boutenko talks about chewing in her Green For Life book. She refers back to a tennis player whose bone density on the arm he played tennis with being 40% more than the other arm. Use it or lose it! That's why Victoria uses a chewing tool. Apparently she has increased her bone density in her jaw and she can see a change in her facial structure since doing this. Interesting seeing as our teeth are bone too hey!

Hi Lulu
Do hope that you are getting over your cold a bit now.  Have you introduced solids yet?

Jen, very interesting about the bone mass.  My son, physio said after i broke a bone in my foot that the best thing i could do would be to do some impact type of work on my foot to strengthen the bone I broke, the body is amazing how it heals and repairs itself.  A bit of trivia for you (not sure if it is scientifically based or not but makes sense to me) heard some thing the other day, the rib is the only bone in the body that will heal itself when it is moving. All others must be stabilized first.  Fantastic hey, you cant immobilise the ribs we need to breathe    laugh

Just shows you how amazing the body is and how it heals itself.  Hope that you are not too dismayed Lulu about your skin not being fully healed, keep at it remember the healing often comes after the fast so stick with it.  It may take some time for it to go, it takes a long time for the skin to re-act so it can take some time for it to heal.  Just keep going on Raw, make sure you have plenty plenty of variety in your daily diet and lots of fresh fresh fresh foods.  That is the hope i cling to that the body knows what to do given the proper tools to do it with!   thumbup

Ooops, just trying something out... I was just putting a picture on my avatar and it worked, yeh me, that's my birthday pic my daughter took, I actually like it.

I've been busy over the past couple of days with my birthday and still having the kids at home, they go back to school on Thursday, strange day to go back I know...

I'll update properly when I've more time, still 100% (although it's been a bit harder over the past couple of days), it will be better when the kids are back to school.
