Thankyou Frangipanni.

Well Im on day Huh?? 109

I'm not going to post what I've eaten over the past few days because I didn't write anything down and I can't remember it all but it's pretty much what I've always eaten.  I've still got alot of mucus coming out of my nose (because you needed to know that didn't you, lol) and I've had an upset tummy (lots of cleansing etc... say no more on this), not sure if it's something going around or if it's cleansing set off by my fast but it's not very pleasant.

I haven't had any smoothies since my fast which is strange but ok.  I still crave and have raw vege soups and celery is a daily friend of mine now.

My daughter took some headshots of me on my birthday and I can honestly say I'm looking much better than I did a few months ago.  I need to buy some new pants too, mine are now sitting on my bum a little like those teenagers you see with their pants way too low and feel the need to give them a wedgie, lol, not good on a 43 year old I'm telling you, lol.

Today

Warmed up green tea
1/2 jug cacao/almond milk (made it for junior but he wasn't interested today, what a shame:))
water
pineapple/spinach blended

Ok, take care and thanks for reading, bye now

Well Lulu did not do really well  at all today! but another day tomorrow! (see journal) . I am starting to prepare for my fast this week,  by that i mean making sure that i dont have to cook stuff for hubby and grandies and ensuring there is heaps in the fridge.
Sounds to me like you have something 'that is going around' to have all that muck coming out .....
Glad to hear that celery is part of your day now.

How is my psoraisis... well, it is just red patches, very very little scale and my right hand has completley healed up, some of the smaller ones on my back have cleared and there is nice new skin there now.  I planned to take pics of my back today but did not quite get there, so will aim to do it tomorrow, so you can see what it is like.

Thanks for the 'pee update'  interesting huh?

Day 111

I'm trying to get my head back into full swing with raw, for some reason I've been thinking way too much about cooked which isn't a good thing, before and during my fast I never really thought about cooked at all, it didn't really interest me which was great but this week I've really been struggling with it.  I've just had a coconut/spinach drink which as usual was divine and I'm tossing with the idea of having another, lol.  Today I'll make some raw fudge and try focus my attention on RAW more than cooked while preparing meals for the family so as not to 'indulge the thought' too much.

Tummy seems to have settled down a bit now, yeh, nose is still ewwwww.

Saturday

Tropical smoothie (mixed fruit)
3 x flax crackers with avo and tom
brazil nuts
cashew nuts
banana
raw soup (carrot, tom, celery & corn)
water
warmed up green tea

Day 112

Sunday

Coconut/spinach drinks - two coconuts (all) with 1/2 bag spinach
handful of nuts
1 1/2 mandarins
banana
4 x flax crackers with avo & tom
mandarin (to clean out fudge bowl, yuuuuuummmmmm, lol)
handful nuts
mixed salad
lots water

Felt good to eat all this, I think I must eat more to keep myself full so I don't think of any alternatives, lol, though it's really not funny at all.

Today

So far jug full of spinach and pineapple blended together

I've got my flax soaking to make more crackers and I'm off now to have a piece of fudge, have a great day, bye now.

Day 113

Monday (continued)

1/2 cup mixed nuts & seeds
fudge laugh
1/2 cucumber dipped into pesto, so good
mixed salad with mushroom stuffed with guacamole
lots water

Tuesday

$4.00 worth of dried mango
mixed nuts, about handful
pineapple & spinach blended, such a great way to get lots of greens
3 flax crackers with avo & tom (I made these a bit thicker and they are gooooooood)
2 flax crackers dipped into leftover guacaole
fudge
mixed salad
lots water

Seem to have found my groove again, yeh  ohyeah it feels so good to feel comfortable eating this way again, thank goodness for that because there were a few days I almost crumpled.

Daughter made anzac biscuits at school today and they were inside a container in the back of the car and the smell was so 'sugary' I couldn't believe how I could smell the sweetness, never made we want any though, lol.

Ok, take care, DS waiting to use puter, bye now

Have to make some of your flax seed crackers again, this time thicker, last time they fell apart.  Lol.

I am trying to think of what i can make for after my fast, cause when i get home i will be tempted by everything under the sun. And it will be so hard so i most certainly will fall in a heap.  It seems like the GS's have helped you , so will take that on board as well for afterwards.  Good Idea. I'll have to make sure i have lots of GS's so will need to go to the shops urgently when i get back.  I will have a car then yayyy.  That will make it easier.
I have tried towork out how to cook less for the old grandies and get out of the kitchen more as well, so as to lessen the temptation.
(((Hugs back to you  )))and thanks

Hi Frangipanni, the flax crackers are wonderful when they are thicker, yum.

Day 114 Wednesday

Water
Pineapple/spinach
4 flax crackers with avo/tom
handful of nuts
fudge (all gone now Sad)
Nori wrap with salad
raw vege soup (slightly warmed)
warmed up green tea

Feeling great, have brocken out on my face a little, don't know why???

My youngest DD is on her very first school camp and it's done nothing but rain since she went, she was so excited to go so I really hope they have activities for them to do that aren't outside too much, I miss her little face too, she comes home tomorrow.  Junior screemed when I picked the kids up in the afternoon and left without DD, I had to tell him she was on camp and he buried his face in his hands and sobbed, my eldest DD had to console him, it was sooooo cute but really sad for him, lol.

Ok, bye now

Hi Lulu

I think i will cry when my grandson goes on his first camp.  It will be a big milestone for him as he has had a lot of issues to deal with.  We are so close because of the medical issues and i just adore him.

I have a batch of flax crackers dehydrating at the moment and cant wait till i can eat them.  I have been nibbling at them since they started.
I did some modifications to the recipe
I soaked 1 cup flax seeds (1/2 light 1/2 dark)
in another bowl soaked 1/2 c sunflower seeds & 1/2c pumpkin seeds and a couple tablespoons of sesame seeds for 4 hours. Then mixed them all together then added 1/4 c lemon juice;
into the blender i put about 3/4c of the mixture above along with 1 granny smith apple and blended till smooth then
I added 2 destsp of agave and a salt to taste.  Then spread them onto the dehydrator and they seem to be quite delicious before dehydrating.  They have a sweet/sour taste.
I just find the flax on its own a bit too hard for my tummy to handle.  At one stage there i felt like gagging when i ate them.
I am making these hoping they will keep till after my fast so that i have some thing to nibble on when i get back.

May be try leaving out the pineapple, My hand comes up really bad when i eat pineapple...just a thought, other substitutes that are reasonably priced.....I know it is difficult to find stuff that you like to help get greens in but the acid in the pineapples may be a problem to psoraisis.  You may like to check out  Karen Knowler -the raw food coach- www.therawfoodcoach.com - who suggests making green juice daily using cucumber, celery, spinach and another vegetable, Karen uses apples to flavour it.  Karen has links on her website  and to her videos which are well produced, the web site has a bit of info and some free recipes as well, may be that can help with the out break on your skin.  Remember after a fast things some times get worse before getting better.......  I am sharing your frustrations ..............  battle  but keep the battle going it will improve i am sure eventually.
(((hugs)))

Thanks Frangipanni but the breakout I'm referring to is a couple of pimples, lol, I don't get many of these so when I do I'm like ... what the... lol.  Make sure you dry your crackers completely and they will keep til after your fast.

Day 115 Thursday

Well this day was not a good day...

Pineapple/spinach
nuts
saaaaaaaaaaaaad food

Ok, I'm not going into detail about what I ate and I don't feel bad about it either as it was my decision to eat sad although I must admit it did not taste as good as expected.  I had not prepared in advance, it was pouring with rain and very cold, say no more.

Friday is a new day and I move on.

Friday Day 116

All is well in my raw world.

pineapple/spinach blended
5 x flax crackers with avo & tom
dried mango
handful of nuts
mixed salad
water
warmed green tea

Saturday Day 117

coconut/spinach blended (yum)
nuts
mixed salad

Haven't eaten much today as I've been soooooo busy, youngest DD's birthday yesterday, she came home from a very wet camp yesterday.  Birthday celebrations in the evening.  Today she was singing for Prime Minister Rudd (and others) and then went and got her ears pierced.  We got home and then my parents arrived for belated birthday cake (which I did not have) and tea/coffee and have only recently left so I don't have much time before I make dinner which will be mixed salad for me.

Jen I have to stay 'smart' with my attitude with this lifestyle and not get too engrossed with it or I'll sabotage myself, don't know why it just seems to be something I do for some reason...

Frangipanni, you'll do fine with the fast, surprisingly you don't feel hungry after the first day or so, I do hope it's not too cold for you though because that does make it hard.

Thanks for reading
