That was BRILLIANT!!!!

I have no idea how I know that song, but I do, and I LOVE IT!

Here's one I sent to a friend lately.  I was reminded of it because I suspect that Brendan Cowell's Hamlet will entice me to the theatre very shortly, and Brendan (who I like very much) has admitted to an affection for 80's power ballads.

So, for those that have immortalised Kiefer, and love The Lost Boys......

Enjoy!

I miss the 80's too.  People that pooh pooh the 80's didn't live them.  They rocked!

Was that the 80's?  Yes or no, I still love it because it's Don.

Don't start me on the Eagles....  laugh

But, here's my favourite Eagles song.  Well, hard to say which is my favourite, but this is absolutely my favourite from Hotel California.  I'll still be listening to the Eagles when I'm 101 and have no teeth!

 laugh

Teenage?  I still watch any film by John Hughes with delight!  Most I own on dvd..... Some Kind of Wonderful, Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club....

I count St Elmo's Fire in the same category, even though it wasn't directed by John Hughes, but same era.

So, here's one for the fans of John Hughes....

I'm turning off my laptop now.  I was going to bed over an hour ago.  Nothing brings out my passion like the 80's.  laugh

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmdqFe2URnU

the full song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBJzHoHda_Q&NR=1

Lyrics: for the theme song for the series 'the life and times of grizzly adams' ie the clip.. just ordered the complete series..cant wait..
Deep inside the forest
there's a door into another land,
here is our life and home.
We are staying
here forever in the beauty of this place
all along, we keep on hoping...

Maybe,
there's a world
where we don't have to run,
and maybe,
there's a time we'll call our own,
living free in harmony and majesty,
take me home, take me home.

Walking through a land
where every living thing is beautiful.
Why does it have to end?
We are calling
all so sadly on the whispers of the wind
as we send a dying message.

Maybe,
there's a world
where we don't have to run,
and maybe,
there's a time we'll call our own,
living free in harmony and majesty,
take me home, take me home.

There's a world
where we don't have to run,
and maybe,
there's a time we'll call our own,
living free in harmony and majesty,
take me home, take me home.

Maybe,
there's a world
where we don't have to run
and maybe
there's a time we'll call our own,
living free in harmony and majesty,
take me home, take me home.

Take me home.
