My job is being an artist. I find that really hard to say.
In order to do this I also need a survival job.
It is really hard to get a job around here - especially if you do not have any experience.
Hence, it looks like my only option at the moment is to work in a butchers.
This is coming from a person who gets teary eyed in the meat section at Woolworths.

I watched Jamie's Fowl Dinners on Wednesday night.
I got angry at the reaction's from people to the show - an article in one paper claimed that for the audience, the problem was not that the chook died but that it died in their faces.

I thought that the contrast between the newly born, fuzzy little chicken and the cold steel machinery and pasty white room was very scary. It was like something out of an Aldous Huxley novel.

I worked in a butchers shop for years. It was not as bad as I thought it would be but I wouldn't wish to go there again. Keep hunting. You might find something in a vege and fruit shop!

Oh you poor thing, I feel your pain.  I used to work as a waitress in a steakhouse and it was really hard to find a smile and kind word for all these people gorging themselves on massive slabs of beef.

At least you will be able to treat the meat with the dignity it deserves and perhaps spread that respect to your customers.  Personally I have no problem with the consumption of meat, but rather with the thoughtless way most people approach it.  And the conditions in which many animals are raised and slaughtered.
