Hi raw mums (and dads),   Kiss

I thought I would write a little of what we're up to in our household and would appreciate hearing how you are doing things in your family.

I have a daughter 6 and a son 21mths. Both are eating mostly raw.

DS is mainly 811 in his approach. He eats all day, grazing on whole and chopped fruits and vegetables. What he has varies with the days/weeks/seasons and I let him lead the way, providing a variety for him to choose from. I would love to say he is still bf, but unfortunatey he isn't. I will occassionally make him nut milks (which he isn't overly fussed about) and very rarely an italian woman up the road bring us raw/organic goat milk and he will have a bit of that. She is an amazing woman full of joy and wisdom and very supportive of the path I have chosen for my children - I am grateful to know her.

I put greens into just about anything and he eats them too. Ice-blocks, smoothies, juices, puddings, even my nut milk (yes BB said eeeww to that too!)  detox  Tongue

Our daughter is much more nut/seed and vegetable in her eating approach. She will happily eat whole raw carrots, capsicums, tomatoes, avocados, broccoli, beans, corn, etc. She will eat nuts when I can get them fresh and seeds every day. She also loves GS which is a blessing and will try any of my concoctions lol. She will still eat cooked with dad from time to time, but always vegetable based.

Because of DD's age we are letting her make her own decisions with eating too. It is wonderful and amazing what choices she makes. (Whether I agree with them or not.)    shrug

We are house sitting at the moment and the owner has 'wanted a vegie patch for years', so we are kindly putting one in. Wink  It is a part of our home schooling curriculum (I use that word very loosely) and we are happily digging, experimenting, measuring and eating our efforts. DS likes to keep the snails down by eating them too.   laugh

About a month ago I started doing daily yoga in the morning and both the kids join me for that. Funny to watch DS copy what we are doing. I have done pilates for years so they ae used to that sort of thing. In the afternoon we go for a walk or bike ride. We are blessed to have a large park area a few kms away so we go there and kick a ball around or just enjoy the space and freedom of movement.   ohyeah

DD does gymnastics once a week and we go to the beach whenever the sun is out for a few hours. We are absolutely enjoying life by the sea! Especially after parched paddocks and empty dams.   thumbup

Every day is an opportunity to learn and grow for us and our children. That's what makes life such an adventure...
