I had the opportunity to see a new documentary by first-time producer/director Aaron Scheibner. (http://www.adelicatebalance.com.au/)

The film “debunks the myths surrounding the production and consumption of animal products and exposes the harsh realities”.

The content is limited to human health and environmental impact. It features insightful interviews with prominent scientists in the field of nutrition, such as Dr Colin Campbell (The China Study). It comes at a critical time in Australia when schools are reintroducing free milk for children. This is a big focus of the film and raises some frightening concepts for the future.

I believe it places the onus of health back on the individual. It is most important that non-vegans be exposed to these arguments, that unfortunately do not often feature highly in medical treatment.

I strongly encourage everyone to see the film and invite a doctor or other health professional to do the same.

*A question for raw food advocates

The film mentions the harmful toxins (HCAs) that are produced when meat is cooked. It says though that this does not happen to vegetables. I realise an argument for raw is that nutrients are lost when vegetables are cooked but is there evidence to say that cancer causing chemicals are produced?

Hey there Chilli, was great to meet you at the Potluck the other week :-)

Harls and I saw the delicate balance last night, great to see the vegan message alive and well...I was speaking to Aaron and he has contacted many mainstream distributors like Dendy who unfortunately weren't interested...I guess too much truth can be hard to swallow. I know i'll be spreading the word.

Will let others answer your q's :-)

Free milk for children in schools? What are 'they' going to do with us lactose intolerants and our kids?

Many moons ago when I was in school I remember the free milk and I remember HATING it. The body speaks but no-one listened.  uhuh

Cheers, Niqi
