Hey all,
I'm a newbie here, been lurking for a few days setting myself up and ready to begin raw tomorrow.  I've been a lacto ovo vegetarian for the past 16 years, tried vegan a handful of times but fell off the wagon usually with in the week.  I'm a single mother of a wonderful 8 year old son, working part time and studying at university full time, so i want to get some awesome eating happeing before my mid semester exams, and before i turn 30 at the end of the year.  I've been looking through a lot of the posts and was inspired by all your commitment and success.  Will post daily, looking forward to getting to know you all.

Halfway through day 1.  Drank a banana smoothie for breakfast, snacked on a handful of raw cashews and dates.  For lunch i've made an avocado salsa to eat withh my celery and carrot sticks.  Tonight i'm planning on trying one of those green smoothies everyone here raves about. Will update how it goes Smiley

First day went well. Am crazy about the green smoothies. Was a bit hesitant at first about drinking spinach but with all the other fruit combined in there i couldn't even taste it.  Day 2 and so far i've had 2 green smoothies, both with one orange, cup of spinach, 2 bananas, 1/3 cup of blueberries, 1/3 cup of rasberries and 2 dates. Unbelievable!

Going great, waited out the daily afternoon headaches and now feeling great.  I've been having a huge green smoothie for breakfaat, fresh salad for lunch and another green smoothie for dinner, on the odd occasion that i crave something sweet i'l grab a few dates or an apple.  Looking forward to getting back to the gym and feeling lighter when i run on friday.  Not overly focusing on weight loss at this stage, but looking forward to seeing the benefits of feeding my body this great food.

Well done! And thank you for the comments on my pics. It's funny that I don't remember ever being that big. But I do remember when I saw that photo for the first time. I didn't let anyone photograph me again for ages.

Good luck with your uni stuff!
