Ive been reading as much info as i can find on the net about msm but i would really like to hear it from the horses mouth so to speak  laugh
Id love to hear your feedback on how you have found it, and if it has helped in anyway.
I dont have any troubles with my joints or pain, so i would be taking it just for the skin and nails and because i have a large fresh scar that i would love to heal well.

Love it!!! I took it for ages as someone I knew thought the deep cracks in my feet and the fact that I can't smell durian very much might be down to a sulfur deficiency. I took it and the cracks healed. Awesome!

I just recently bought this product and started taking it four days ago. I stop taking it yesterday because I ended up with chronic migraine and have been up at ungodly hours for the last three nights, each time with bleeding nose. My husband and son took some too, though not as much as I did, my son got a bleeding nose and they both had nightmares. I'm thinking maybe this product may not be suitable for those who has been high raw for over two years, I don't know... need to do more research on this product.

Often when I eat the wrong food, I have unsettling dreams and I use this as my guidance system. MSM gave me a horrific nightmare, R18 Blood Gore type, now I know where Steven King gets his ideas. What do you think is happening? Was I detoxing, or should I listen to what my dreams are telling me?

Love and peace
Nic
This would be the first question I've posted on the board.

sunheart, were you taking MSM alone?  Or one of the combination products (eg for joints)? Was it powder or capsules or something else?

Nature First Law MSM crystalline powder. I added them in orange juice or water. It was the first time I took supplement since 2004-2005. Any idea what’s happening to me?  crazy

So, what's msm? Is it when you sms yourself some sulphur? Me-sulphur-myself, msm?

Sulphur can be found in cabbage, onion, radish, cucumber watercress, grapes and berries.

sunheart,  I was just checking it wasn't one of the combos with glucosamine, which is often problematic (and it's not exactly vegetarian let alone raw, so you were probably avoiding anything with that in it anyway)
MSM supposedly does speed up detox, it makes the cell walls more permeable and stuff that couldn't get out before might be able to get out.  Maybe it is just detox?  Have you had nose bleeds as a detox symptom before?  (I get them when exposed to something nasty, which I suppose is an instantaneous detox from the something nasty)

It's hard to tell if you're reacting to the MSM or the results of the MSM.  I'd normally say listen to your own body, don't use it, but in your other post you said you're drawn to it. If you want to continue with it, maybe you could try a much smaller dose (a quarter dose or less, and not in the evening) and see how you react? Maybe with a high raw background you need to gradually build up your dose?

I think I've asked more questions than answered, sorry Smiley

I took MSM in conjunction with chondroitin for hard core arthritis years ago - my cartilege was wearing off my joints and everyone (naturopath AND conventional doctor) told me to give it a go.

Didn't do a thing. Neither did the shark's cartilege, which I only took for one bottle because I felt so guilty about ingesting such a creature.

I would hope that there's other ways to deal with what you've got - it didn't work for me, but I can't speak for you!  laugh

best cheers,
Niqi

Wow that's full on. I've taken MSM when I was told that the deep cracks I had on my heels might be due to a sulphur deficiency. Not being able to smell durian fuelled this suspicion even further. I took loads of msm daily and the crack's healed and now... durian  has smell! However one day I looked at it and just didn't want it anymore. So I've not taken it since.

I'll see what I can find out for you...

melb, thanks for asking questions and sharing your nosebleed experience.

I bought MSM to nudge the toxins in my head area. After a 2-week water fast (several months ago), I felt that I could fast another week or two… but having read warnings about fasting without supervision, I decided not to go ahead, realising later that I should’ve listened to my intuition. From the neck down, I felt pinky clean but my head felt congested, no pain or anything, but blockages of some sort, probably moulds from antibiotics. I had meningitis when I was 6 months old (40 years ago), and was pumped with antibiotics ‘to keep me alive,’ which lead to long-term damage to my ears and eyesight, and later migraine, sinus, asthma, allergies, and many little health problems, which I no longer have (except for the migraine since taking MSM).

Here’s the interesting bit, the gore part of the nightmare was related to the head area (not mine), so maybe it’s another message altogether. For the past few months, I have not been making much progress, that’s why I was drawn to MSM. Maybe a trial of smaller dose is in order before I give up. Will let you know how I go. Thanks  thumbup

niqi, it goes to show how different everyone is eh.

raw sensation, glad it did some good for you. Hope you find more info, and thanks for looking out.

Love and peace

i've heard good things about this msm and want to try it myself i think. i saw an interesting video on calcium by david wolfe on you tube and he was saying how heart attack victims have this calcium build up in their arteries where parasites that feed on calcium live and they're like little oyster or clams. they are apparently what form in arthritis also and because there is no capilleries into the fingers he said you need to kill these parasites with a zapper device. he said msm can help with this too.
