I dreamed last night I was in a retail store shopping for dvds and I saw next to me a fight started between two men.

I went to brake it up by grabing one of the men and shoving them apart. One fell to the ground and the other I had in my arms. After I did break it up I asked the fella that did not start it why did this man start a fight with you? He said because he pick up the last copy of dvd and was unsure if he could afford all he had picked up and this other man wanted this last copy he had.

What do you think it means?

1. You have a talent for conflict resolution.  ok
2. People often argue about petty things.  laugh
3. Depending on what was the predominant feeling duirng your dream, this is the hint for the meaning of the dream for you to analyse. What was the feeling?

Hey Sach,

When I read your dream, I immediately sensed that both men may represent you.  That perhaps their struggle was a representation of an internal struggle that you might have regarding finances (or something else).

Take that with a grain of salt though - I know nothing about interpreting dreams.  smiley

Feeling empowered? Could it then be that in your dreams you are seeking to do what you love doing and what you are powerful at, you are seeking your internal drive, you are expressing yourself, expressing your inner might, and connecting with your inner powers, showing to yourself how capable your SELF is?

cool thread sacha. i like talking about dreams. haven't had many recently that i can remember but does anyone notice when they eat at night and go to bed not long after it causes them to dream more? i often dream about the next day. like if i have a test for uni tomorrow which i do, i will dream about it that night and usually i'll fail, be late or something like that happens and i am relieved to wake up and find out that it was just a dream. i also had a dream once that some raw foodists passed by me and caught me eating something really bad didnt know what it was though and it was really horrifying in the dream. like a nightmare. actually once i dreamt i ate mcdonalds which would never have in a million years and i woke up and was so relieved.

Hey missgiggles You could be right. You made me laugh though because when I am shopping for cd's and dvd's it is my weakness and I often think do I really need this? or Is it a must have in my collection?

rawgosia your analysis is amazing and spot on to how I often feel.

Thanks tora chan. I personally dont notice a difference between what I eat and when I eat with my dreams. With your dreams with the other raw foodests and Macca's I am guessing you must not of been eating raw when you had those dreams maybe.

I was laughing at my own day dream today of Harley going for a job at Macca's lasting one day by deliberating getting axed the first day by saying or doing something naughty. Just picturing him in the uniform cracks me up. It could be a dare. LOL

Two nights ago I dreamed that I could fly, and was floating above the town where I was (it was very stylized and middle eastern in feel like something out of a Sultan themed movie). It was my first flying dream ever and I loved it. There was a whole adventure theme which could have been made into a movie/book if I had written it down when I woke up.

Last night I dreamed I was going for a long walk, and as I walked down a hill decided to give David Wolfe a call on my mobile. I did and got through, and was able to ask a question. Then I tried to be respectful and let him go, but he was happy to talk. We chatted on the phone for about an hour as I walked down the hill to the water, then back up to the top (which in my dream was close to home). It was casual and fun and the nature was magnificent.

I seem to be getting very in touch with remembering my dreams lately.... this has been happening a lot. I think I might start a dream journal... they are so much fun. I did that once in grade 13 for months and have the wildest dreams written down. If you have a pen and paper next to your bed where you wake up and train yourself to write them down immediately you'll remember more and more of the details. Anyone else ever tried that?

I would love to train myself to lucid dream (where you consciously have control of your dream and can shift your actions at will and realize you are dreaming). Can anyone do that?

Hey Sheryl I have never had a flying dream yet. I look forward to my first.

I never knew what a  lucid dream was till you explained what they are. Well I believe I had my first last week. I dont remember it now but I do remember how amazed I felt afterwards. It was like I was a director of my own dream in a movie.

I have quite a few lucid dreams where I am both the star and the director, it's pretty cool.

Apparently when you dream of flying you are really astral travelling or having an OBE (out of body experience).  Also when you are day or night dreaming, or in a really deep space, and your whole body jerks violently - which wakes you up - you have been out of you body and have just come back.

A friend and I have been having very similar dreams at the same time. heart  I'd love to expand on this and actually meet up on the astral plane when this happens.  Then the saying "I'll meet you in my dreams" takes on a whole new perspective Angel

I love my flying dreams. I have them regularly and have done ever since I was a child. I recall two vivid dreams of flying that I had at three and nine years old. Love them.

I also have violent dreams. This, thank goodness doesn't happen often but I had one last night! I don't recall the dream to much but I do recall that I woke myself up with a punch in the face (fortunately I never do damage body is too weak while sleeping) and I have scratches on my upper belly. Not deep. Very superficial.

Personally... i prefer the flying dreams! LOL.

I dream a lot and always have.  I think sometimes I try to over analyse them too.  Flying dreams can mean you are astral traveling or having an out of body experiencing but this does not mean it's always the reason.  I do remember one time going to sleep with my children both in my arms and as I began dreaming looked down on myself and the children in that exact position.  That particular dream was quite epic and I had to have my parents knocking at my bedroom door (in my dream) to bring me back and wake me up.  Though not upsetting it was rather adventurous and I was awake hours afterwards.  So sometimes I go to sleep and actually wake up feeling exhausted from my nights adventures.  I used to have a re-occuring dream as a child; a nightmare of sorts.  And the dream itself was repetitive in nature.  It would have me running through the woods, the big bad wolf chasing me.  I would be fearing for my life when finally I would see a fort off in the distance and I would have a sense of relief and safety.  As I climbed up the fort the wolf would be waiting for me there and gobble me up.  As he did I would have this realisation that "Phew everything will be ok" and then I would be running through the woods again, the big bad wolf chasing me and the same thing would occur.  Recently I've had three seperate dreams with rattle snakes in them.  One of them was quite epic with a total of five different animals in different situations and my emotions ranging from fear to protection.
There are other times and I'm not sure if I'm dreaming i'm awake and then immediately wake up after wards but I will feel like I wake up and see for example a balloon floating in my lounge room and as I become more awake realise it's not there at all.  Sometimes I even smell or feel things.  I don't think i'm a huge sleep talker though my partner Phill another huge dreamer is and I can actually be lying awake listening to him talking and if i respond we'll end up in a conversation.
Two of my dreams in the past few days have featured Mr Depp and I have to say bring those dreams on please in preference to my others.  Last night he was giving me his msn email to keep in touch with me lol.  Must of had something to do with seeing Edwards Scissorhands the dance production on Friday night Smiley

I often have dreams that relate back to every day life. I don't know whether or not they are lucid dreams but I'll often have thoughts that are in tune with what happens in my day. Such as, in my dreams someone might say to me, come and have dinner tomorrow night and I'll say "no thanks, we have this or that going on".

I had one of those last night. Interesting!
