Day 108 today
Yesterday, Wednesday 13 August
breakfast the most wonderful smoothie yet - and a big one - this stopped the nibbles in its tracks
Lunch
onion bread salad sanga - Yummo took it all to work and chopped it all up and ate it
bit of grandies nut bar
dinner
Chick pea salad - actually did not like the canned organic chick peas at all, so will stick to fresh stuff as it is has a better flavour and smell.  Have yet to sprout chick peas not sure how to go about this so will check the sprouts book.
Overall i am pleased with yesterday and am taking steps to not eat the junk bix at work,  I will take fruit today and bake bix in the dehydrator.  Must watch how much i ameating put on 1 kg this week, so, i want to loose 3 kg, so less nuts and eating between meals.

Do you have to buy special peas to sprout them?
I'm interested in making wraps and breads and stuff.  Now I am keen to use the dehydrator more as i can see its versatility.  I have a sprouting book, may be i should check there as well...........

Friday
swim 1500m,
hungry as
green smoothie, spinach, coconut milk, linseeds, water, banana and whole berries and banana eaten like a soup - it was delish and satisfying
Lunch
my friday fortnightly cooked meal, that i just love - satay vegetables with tofu and cashew - 2 vegan chocolates, and a dried fruit square (raw)
Dinner
huge big salad sandwich and some thing else - cant recall the rest but think i had some of my crackers with avo and salt, but it was raw.

Today
Breaky - juice green smoothie
swim 2000m
hungry as
2 large apples some dried mango and dried blue berries, did not read label properly they had sugar in them so did not eat too many as they were tooo sweet.
i tried the spinach wrap, and the idea worked out but it seems that it is necessary to get an even coverage of the spinach stuff over the dehydrator sheet.  It was delicious and i will try it again.  I filled it with  Raw marinated mushrooms (raw table recipe) delicious, avo,and onions and heaps of salad veg.
dessert: banana pie in sunflower/raisin pie flan topped with coulis of strawberries and 1 teasp agave
Delicious
I'm back into routine again, am finding since i got back from my fast that i have quite a lot of time.  Hubby dug up my garden which had become quite overgrown since the broken bone in my foot.  I am getting it ready for summer and lots of veg.  I want to plant - spinach, parsley, zucchini, italian tomatoes for drying and eating tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers, may be some capsicum as well, will also go for a few beetroots so that i can pic the leaves for salad.  Cant wait.  I love my garden and this year will have the whole area set up as i want it, rain water through drippers, lots of mulch as well.

Sunday
Raw Smoothie usual juices and banana and pear delicious
Lunch
two corn cobs steamed, marinated mushrooms and some cracker bread with avo.
Dinner
My Tabouli - posted the recipe and even a pic.  yummo
Date with nut butter
cooked for grandies and ate a few slices of cheese.
As usual ate too much, if i want to loose this extra 3 kilo i have to limit my food intake a bit.

Breakfast today
smoothie with beetroot and raspberries and banana
Lunch
steamed- corn, carrot, zucchini, cauli, beets, asparagus, peas with lemon and herbamere salt - delish
swimming tonight - should do 2000 meters again.
Cooked cakes and bix for grandies, ate about 1 teasp of anzac mixture and ate 2 pieces of spelt bread with butter - that was nice.  That is why i should not eat bread - the butter is the problem.

Thursday 21st day 115
Raw is now becoming a lifestyle, I am thinking raw and eating mainly raw. i'd say 'bout 95%,with the occasional steamed veg.  I just love steamed corn at the moment, I do like it cold as well but prefer steamed and just devour it.
I have made some crackers from Abeba's book, and surprised that my Grandson loved them.  He has a lot of digestive problems and he ate 4 for lunch, then a ear of steamed corn and salad.  I sent some ground linseeds home with his mum, he also loves them raw and ground as well.

Tuesday, smoothie,
lunch Fish and a huge salad, did really well today, did not nibble bix at work took apples instead
dinner
My carrot soup
and crackers and date and nut paste

Wednesday
1500m swim
breakfast and lunch combined smoothie
was really hungry all day but i did prepare for this and took extra food
apples x2
salad
marinaded mushrooms
crackers x4
banana
Dinnner
My asian salad
crackers and 1/2 avo.
date balls

Breakfast
ripper mango smoothie -
celery, nut butter and raisins
Lunch - 1 1/4 ears of corn, coleslaw with walnuts.
3 anzac bix, needed some thingsweet and did not think raw, just dived for the bix, damn, would have been better off to make a choc smoothie with banana or something else.   shrug
Dinner
slightly sweet celery soup with crackers.
I am confident that the crakers that i made from the Abeba book are fine so will tackle some cookies.  I am going to try the fruit cookies.
If they taste good i will give some to my grand son.
Swimming again tomorrow. I am so glad that i am back into it.  When i was fasting i was thinking that I was not able to do it because of the other committments,  but have made arrangements to lighten my load a bit by getting a cleaner, this will/should give me the additional time i need. My health, exercise and cooking/un-cooking is so very important and so is my family, I need to have time to spend with them without worrying about whether i am cleaning my house etc. Then there is work and some where in there some social life etc.

Ended up by having crackers and a big salad sandwich on onion bread as well as some lettuce leaves spread with nut butter and raisins on top wrapped up.  Yummo  I was really hungry.

I am absolutely amazed, all of my reles like the crackers i have made in the dehydrator flax seeds and all    cmon.  I cant recall the name of them they are in ABeba's book, I will post the name when i post again.  So I have something i can share with them.  I am trying some apple ones tonight. They are dehydrating at this moment.

swim 1 hour  about 2000m
Love it.

yesterday, I did not really do very well in the food stakes.  I had my smoothie for breakfast and then a banana
I swam 1 hour with Kathy.
Lunch
was my normal chinese meal of satay veg and tofu and cashews
then the vegan choc
then the chocolate almond thingy from providore
and a Honey Joy from the organic shop
then when I got home I had the basil, maca chili pesto with lettuce and spread it all over a salada bix.  I then had a vegemite bix then decided that I did not feel really good in the tummy so rested and just had watermelon and strawberries, which I enjoyed.

I am going to need to make a bigger effort on Fridays and have a take away smoothie for lunch as a treat.  or not go to the market, it is so tempting there, but there is so much in the way of fruits and vegetables that should be the tempting bit, but it is the mind set that I go with; I go there thinking that my treat is the chinese meal which leads to another treat and another and another.  I am scared that I will be hungry if I don't eat it as I usually leave home at 6:15 to swim at 7 and am hungry after that.  But a smoothie will fill me up and if I am still hungry there is so much beautiful food available there.  Fruits and veg to my hearts content.  Ahhh but the comfort of the cooked meal is so good to look forward to.
Just as well as there is a new day today.

Yes Jen, I love my swimming.  I am training to swim competitively again in 2009 with Aussie Masters.  I eased back this year because of the  fast but have started again now.  I have found since eating raw foods only, that i get far less muscle soreness, my breathing is easier and stronger, i am more flexible in the joints.  Since starting in 2003 i have lost 40 lb, with the greater amount being shed in the past 12 months.  I have not timed myself to see if i am faster or not but i think i am slower because i eased back on my swim training for about 18 months.  This year i am keen to resume it.  That means 3-4 sessions of swimming, some theraband work (prevents injury to the shoulders - i focus on the rotator cuff (shoulder) area) and also some weights at home two days per week.  I have started building up to this gradually with the swimming first, in the next couple of weeks i will introduce the weights.  I am not as good as a lot of others but swimming has done so much for me, with out it i think i would shrivel up.  I do enjoy other things in life such as outdoor stuff walking and kayaking and swimming has enabled me to live life.

i am so pleased with my spinach wraps, they are sooo yummy.  Thought i'd post a picture of one.
I have an ezydry dehydrator and the recipe made one tray, by using half circles i was able to make two wraps.  I spread avo, sprouts, grated carrot and onion and capsicum on it.  It is so tasty no dressing was needed.
I will definately make these again
The recipe is from Cafe Gratitude cook book, the recipe was shared with me.  It is so easy and delicious I will try the corn and carrot variation as well.

Today:
breakfast
the most fabulous smoothie made by my hubby.  After last nights out to dinner meal, of mainly protein and white rice and soy milk, we needed a strawbroom to go through us so the flax seeds, pear and beetroot were the order of the day.
Lunch
yummo lettuce salad with marinated mushrooms
two flax crackers
dinner
spinach wrap and a big bowl of banana and raspberries (frozen and thawed).
delicious
had a BM and belly feels much better now.
