thanks Jen, belly feeling a lot better by the end of Friday - good BM made a big difference, I have to be more careful about what i eat now.

Rest of Friday

Lunch      juice - at shopping - will do this again it was delicious, apple, celery, watermelon and carrot

Dinner: huge big pad thai- delicious- thanks berry bliss

Saturday:
Cooking cakes for grandies all morning - licked the spatula only one time     yahh    I'm so proud of myself.  The discomfort of Friday was a good reminder.............   laugh
Juice for breaky, at 9:00 went swimming at 11:00 - the juice sat really well.  I have tried swimming before on a completely empty belly and i get too hungry afterwards, I do prefer to leave a bigger gap between swimming and "eating"  but did not happen this time.
Nut bar  - oops    shrug  must take fruit after swimming if i have to go to the shops so chose the lesser evil.
Lunch -huge big pad thai- delicious
Dinner- Creamy dill pasta - zucchini pasta with a cashew nut cream and dill and GARLIC- Man!!   i added too much garlic - i recon it burned my belly out.  i also made apple and strawberry pie, crust not real good, yuk in fact, but apple strawberry and agave ok together.  Will refer to a recipe from now on , no good at experimenting!   shrug

Sunday:

Hubby did the smoothie - passionfruit and lots of celery juice in it along with the ususal stuff - i like it sweeter though, but still he did well.
Lunch:  Carrot salad, slice of spelt bread, maca paste and blackberry fruit spread, celery with maca and cashew paste  - the bread was not as i thought it would be - so next time will leave it alone - but it did look really good fresh out of the oven on my bench.
I was cooking spring rolls - yess the one i ate was delicious!  Mine are filled with lots of good stuff - vegetables - just cooked.  I have wondered how you could make a raw thai style spring roll, you know they have the rice wrappers all stiff and you soak them and wrap vegetables in them and dip them into a special sauce.... any ideas any one?
I have been waiting for a 'hot chocolate' for days but have not had the time to do it all so last night it was time - I soaked the almonds  & made the milk today - cant wait to drink it.  then I might have some fruit - delicious. Not sure  how to do this - may be the other way around then the hot chocolate will linger in my mouth for a while.......... yes that sounds better.

good BM made a big difference,

Oh a good bm makes aaaaaaaaaaaaall the difference! LOL. I had two today both of which amazed me at their bulk. Sheesh. It's amazing how open we become on forums!

Cooking cakes for grandies all morning - licked the spatula only one time

Now when you say one time I'm assuming you mean one quick lick and not loading the spatula and winding your tongue around it for about ummm... a minute! LOL. I'm sure it was a quickie and I admire your strength. If I had a quick lick... the cake would be gone! Tee hee.

Glad you are feeling better love!

yes all it was was a quick lick.... [I surprised myself.  Love your graphic description.......LOL] and into the sink full of water to rinse it.  The only way i can do it. I stand about 2 feet from the sink and thrust the spatula into the water turning my head so as not to allow the tongue to get to the spatula.  LOL

Breakfast
smoothie - usual juices with spinach and passionfruit and banana today
Lunch
pear, walnuts, kiwi gold and banana and celery with mac/cashew paste - the whole 375ml jar is gone now - didnt realize i'd eaten so much of it.
Dinner
Divine Laksa with baby coconut milk and zucc, carrot, corn onion and baby spinach - yummy I had been hanging out for it all day.  YUMMY
Mejool dates stuffed with nut paste (again) x3

Missed swimming today, looked after grandie who was not happy at all, had a pain in the belly and sore bum and mum did not send enough B/milk... so have asked that she send more next time.  This meant that I was late packing the car etc etc etc every thing just compounds.  It is sooooo cold here today and yesterday, but WE HAVE HAD RAIN AND A PRETTY GOOD AMOUNT YAYYYYY.

I am thinking about going swimming early tomorrow, but will need to go to bed soon or i wont be up in time.

LuLu - the fast that i have planned and do not look forward to is the last week in July.  I think it is the 26/27 weekend.  I plan 2 days juice, 5 days water, 2 days juice and then fruit for a day then RAW food.  I should loose some weight, I am 69 kg, and really should be less than that, 65-64 is a weight i could reasonably maintain.  When i did my last fast i lost weight and have kept it off quite easily.  i am not loosing weight at present because i am eating too many bananas and nuts and nut paste and dried fruits -- yummmy.  I decided to get used to eating Raw first then concentrate on the weight side, but i will put that off too as long as i can as i just love to eat.

Just started using my sprouter - i bought an easy grow sprouter as i have tried sprouting heaps of times and end up with a mouldy old mess,  so i will see how this goes.  i have alffalfa in to try out first.  Another toy for me to play with as my hubby puts it.  he loves sprouts as well.  I'll eventually do broccoli and put it in my smoothie, dont like broccoli really so this might be a bette way of getting it into me.

Day 72 on Raw

Breakfast
smoothie: Juices celery (more of it than usual) cucumber, carrot and an apple added 6 dates and a hand full of raspberries, OH I juiced some snow pea sprouts in the juice - went well, didnt even taste it, then added spinach and linseeds - it was quite delicious - bit of a funny colour though.
Lunch
Juiced extra carrots and celery for lunch - desperately wanted a warm soup so made carrot  juice soup heated over water till just warm and had a follow up salad - delish!
Dinner
Pondering my dinner - some thing to look forward to when i get home late night to night, so it will be warm 'hot chocolate'  from almond milk.  or smoothie with blueberries?Huh?   shrug

Must use the almond pulp for bix from BB.  I tried them with chocolate last time and they were yumm as well, will try them as per her recipe this time - bound to be better.
Didnt sleep well last night had a disturbing email before i went to bed, problem is not fully sorted but now at a reasonable level.  For a moment the pot of hot vegetable and chicken soup really appealed, warm and comforting..... aaaaaaaaahhhhhh get away from me.... so a lovely warm carrot juice soup was the go!  I am feeling quite invigorated now, tired ness is gone and i am feeling quite energised,  I actually want to exercise and CAN'T get there as i want to.   yahh
Cooking again for grandies - cake, shepherds pies, lasagne & apple crumble      AND I DIDNT EVEN LICK THE BOWL or the spatula or taste any of it  YAYYY,   Man they need a full time chef! ....  it seems the morning is the best time for me to cook for them, my 'wont power' is better then.
Didnt go swimming had to go to work early, but will either swim or walk tomorrow have a busy day and hopefully can fit either one in.

Day 73
Didnt have the smoothie had celery stuffed with maca paste and sultanas - this is getting a bit expensive but delicious, then a pear, walnuts and celery salad.  Filled the hole and was quite satisfying   smiley

My hand is nearly back to normal now,  lots of celery seems to be the go-er,  i need to remember this for the fast days as well.  I think i will do juice on Sunday.  This is a good dayfor me to do it as I cook the least on Sunday and hubby can fend for himself - he's pretty spoiled any way he recons   snicker

Noticed that i have gone off avocado, when i first went raw couldnt get enough of it now i have two inthe fruit bowl and dont want to eat them.  Gone mad on celery now......
Today
Breakfast
Smoothie -almond milk, blueberries, spinach, golden linseeds dates and banana -  yummo
Lunch
salad of Cos lettuce celery, carrots and a couple of cashews MANDARINE, kiwi gold and nashi pear.  Delicious
Dinner Huh??

I am feeling really enervated, aimed to go for a swim today but my daughters car broke down so had to go and rescue her.  Funny how there are so many interruptions to exercise if it is not done early in the morning.  I must make sure i go to bed earlier so that i can get up earlier, really hard when it is dark though

Finally got to do some exercise today.  Did a 6km walk , no real stiffness and feel really good after the walk, surprised myself, the stiffness that I used to feel in my joints has gone and I feel quite flexible and quite good after this long walk.  I will do another one tomorrow.

Found that the best strategy to my eating and keeping raw when cooking for others is for me to prepare my meals first then i know what i am eating and will not be so tempted to eat other stuff.  Much better idea.
Challenge tomorrow night, have to go out to a polish friends and her idea of vegetarian is that we eat lamb and veal in a heavy gravy! Vegetables are usually boiled boiled and very sparce.  Not sure how to handle this any ideas any one.       huh

Today
Bfst - Juice carrot, celery, apple and ginger and fennel
dried banana and some soaking almond

Lunch- Slightly Warm Carrot Soup - delicious
Dinner -entree: Stick Celery stuffed with maca paste and raisins
a huge salad - butter lettuce, coriander, corn, olives, s/d tomato, sultanas, carrot, celery, cucumber and dressing balsamic and olive oil and salt.
Then banana and strawbs x4
Now my "belly is full" bit too full really but it feels really good to have a full belly.

Friday
yukky smoothie - wont write down what I ate as it tasted yukky

lunch: dried banana, nashi pear and home made spring rolls

dinner was corn salad - 2 ears corn and a bit of oil and some salt added a bit of parsley OK but nothing to write about really,

Thursday - cant really recall details but know that this is what I ate.
Smoothie
lunch: large salad and dressing
Dinner crayfish fritters - and I did not enjoy them - too oily and not really good at all.

Am away this weekend, time to relax and to recover from the hustle an bustle of life.  It is verrrry windy so taking a walk is jet assisted in one direction.

I prepared lunch of Laksa soup which was delicious, just as well as we were offered Pumpkin soup, Hostess was not home for lunch so i was able to get away with this and explain to Hostesses hubby what i was doing.  He was cool with that though some what confused    laugh and i am sure he thought i was nuts   snicker
The dinner went well.  Hubby, Her Hubby and I were out cutting wood, so i had the opportunity to ask the hostess before she started cooking not to cook me any meat schnitzel as i was no longer eating meat, she asked me what i would eat then and i said that i had seen some pretty good looking salads in the fridge.  That way she felt good about the salad and because i got in before she had cooked for me nothing was wasted.

She also asked if I wanted chips and I said 'no thanks, salad would be just great'.  When i got there hostess had prepared a wonderful garden salad with lots of herbs and a yummy dressing as well as serving the delightful coleslaw in the fridge.  Hostess was worried i was not satisfied so offered an avocado; which was delicious.  Dinner was finished off with a delight full piece of water melon.  I was stuffed and satisfied that i was able to stay Raw.    yahh

Today  14/7/08 Monday.
Breakfast
smoothie with normal juice base plus beurre bosc (brown) pear and date and banana - much better than yesterdays!
Lunch
Salad, date/choc fudge celery with maca paste and raisins
snack
3 chapatis  a little butter, it did not taste as i remembered it   detox  Chapatis tasted fine.  I must make myself some raw breads, craving salad sandwiches.
Dinner
Salad again celery with maca paste and raisins.
date choc fudge
Hot chocolate and almond milk
CRAVING pizzas that i made for hubby,  The cheese and the bread and the SD'd Toms and olives and the fat oooooh  the memories were just almost overpowering.  If i had not had the salad prepared i would have been seduced by its perfume and memories of its flavour.........
The hot chocolate came after dinner to stop the craving and did so, though i was craving savoury it sits well in my belly

Tuesday, travelling home 3 hour trip.  Hubby had pizza again as it is easy for him to eat on the run.  I forgot to mention that i make the pizza for him, wholegrain milled bread base and sd toms and as many veg as i can put on them and topped off with cheese, drip dribble dribble ............ sound great dont they?

I did a 5 km walk uphill and down hill on WEdnesday, did not need to go to work at all. Yayyyyyy.    ok

I had for breakfast:  Oh by the way Hubby is drinking GS! and liking it   yahh GS with normal juices and pear and dates and nana
Lunch: chick pea salad - Ohhhhhhh heaps of tummy gas..... didnt need fuel to get home    snicker

Dinner: 8:30 pm after work and not much in the fridge, I had celery and macadamia paste with sultananas and nuts and dried fruits and a banana and one chapati.  I was hungry after work and had no fresh stuff to eat!

Wednesday:
defrosted freezer that broke down whilst i was away.   I was quite busy, no car and f&v shop 20km away, so had only dried fruit and nuts, fudge balls and a banana all day till dinner when hubby did the shopping then.....
Dinner: my favourite RAW Laksa - delicious I must post the recipe for this as it will be ideal comfort winter food, filling and warming.  Recipe is at home will post later.

Thursday,
Went for a 4km walk up hill and down hill, my butt muscles are now revealing themselves.
breaky smoothie with normal juice base plus beurre bosc (brown) pear and date and banana and added some sprouts from my easy sprouter alfalfa and linseeds - this is d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s-  Grandson joined us and participated in two small glasses.  He loves to eat the carrot pulp that comes out the end of the juicer!
Lunch 3 pieces fish- delish and large salad and two fudge balls
Dinner prepared the juice for my warm carrot soup tonight after work.  Yummy Late night tonight.

I am really pleased with my easy sprouter i have never made sprouts that looked like the alfalfa ones i harvested when i came back from being away, i thought i would try just leaving them for 4 days and it worked, but the sprouter did run out of water, not sure if that is real good though.  I have put in a salad mix, broccoli (for the smoothies) and sunflower seeds and alfalfa they will be ready soon so i will post pics of them in a couple of days.   I want to do some wheat so that i can make some essene bread and some dehydrated essene bread as well, still craving that salad sandwich!

I will be fasting from 26th July 2 days juice, 5 days water, 2 days juice then back on raw.  I was dreading this but i am strangely looking forward to it.  I recall that i felt really good after my last fast last year and look forward to the rest.  I have been able to work the car thing out and it will be ok.  My haven is 3 hours away from the hustle and bustle of the city in farm and beach country.  the nearest town is 30 km away and it is ever so peaceful.  I will take sewing and reading - lots of it and walking stuff and some raw carrots and apples - hopefully organic stuff to break my fast - I have collected a heap of jars for my peee samples it will be interesting! smiley

Frangipanni you are doing so well, I haven't had time to read your journal lately so it's been a good read today. You handled your 'hostess' situation beautifully, you should be very proud of yourself.

How is your psoriasis going?  Any noticeable difference yet?  I noticed that my pee changed colour to match the juices I was drinking, lol, and was very clear when on water, just in case you were curious  cool.

Take care
