A raw shop? Where abouts are you? Where abouts is the shop? I'd love to hear about it.

Yes vegans cop a lot. I think it's the reason that some vegans become very defensive and very pushy. Not all but some.

My brother was vegan before he met his now wife 8 years ago and her family still tell the same jokes about him and the way he eats. He gets angry about it at times. They have a farm with cattle and go shooting so I think they might be getting in first with the judgements which is funny as my bro would never judge anyone for the way they eat.

Hugs....

I’m in Perth and the shop is called Alive Organics. It sells organic fruits and vegetables as well as specialty raw food products, books and equipment. I think there are also raw food classes held there, although this prob doesnt help you much as its on the other side of the country  laugh

Wow talk about two extremes, a vegan with cattle shooting in-laws!! and I thought I had it bad LOL. Anyways I think I'm over it, I just get a little fed up every now and then. I think people make jokes and/or get defensive because it makes them question there own way of living and I have to remember that it probably has nothing to do with my 'weird ways'.

Well bye from me for now

Veg xx

I’ve neglected my journal lately. I’ve been busy, busy, busy and haven’t really had too much time on my hands.

RGG I will send RawNat a pm cant hurt to try.

Well lots has been happening in my life lately…the lil ol universe works in mysterious ways. I’ve found myself working on a project which has me staring my big ugly past right in the face in a really uncanny way…not sure how this all came about. I’m not only staring it in the face but reliving it all over again. I’m trying to see this as a good thing, a healing thing, maybe its happened for a reason maybe I will get answers somehow.

Anyways on to raw!! Love love loving it. I just feel so fresh and alive eating raw food, not to mention healthier and happier. Over the next week I’m going to drink more water and start adding vegie juices. My skin is ultra sensitive and very dry at the moment, I think I need to drink more water. I'm also finding that I cant use anything on my skin unless its all natural otherwise it gets even dryer and itchy

I’m still jogging. I took a couple of days off because my chest was hurting a little but the pain has gone although now my feet and knees are giving me a little grief. I think maybe I need new shoes.

Anyways that’s all from me for now

Take Care

VD (BTW don’t like my name anymore gonna change it soon just thinking of what to call myself)

It seems that name changes are happening everywhere! Awesome.

Have you been inspired by the runners in the Olympics? I was supposed to have an early night last night and ended up watching some of the running. Made me so keen to get running again.

My body is loving it's juice right now. With the green salads at night I'm feeling vavavoom!

I hope the same thing happens for you...

Yep I'm looooving juices they make me feel ultra healthy and fresh. Think I might go make myself one now  smiley

I haven’t really been watching too much tv lately but I do like watching the track and field when I get a chance. Watching all those healthy, fit athletes definitely inspires me to get off my butt lol

me too! I went for my walk this morning and decided to break out and have a bit of a run and what do you know? Can hardly run 200 metres! A far cry from earlier this year. I hope they bring out an Olympic DVD from this year. I've been so inspired by the athletes.

Hope you enjoyed your juice!

Hey VeggieDelight!  I'm so excited that you posted on my journal and just wanted to pop here and thank you again!  I've just read your journey so far and you just are hitting some of the same probs that I am, by the sounds of it I have to get into those superfoods!

I finally kicked the coffee habit by switching to decaf, then hot chocolate, now this week I'm on tea, I'm happy there!

Right, gotta run but just wanted to say thanks Smiley

Hi J thanks for popping in, great to hear that you’re getting back into it. Yep coffee was def the hardest thing for me to give up but luckily cacao came to the rescue. I’m laying off it at the moment though as I have a few digestive problems that I’m trying to sort out so I 've been eating mainly green veg, fruits, juices and smoothies to see if that will help. Really I’m just jumping all over the place and still finding my way, I’ve been trying everything and hoping my body will let me know what works best for me.

Hey VegD :-)
Feel free to join myself and maybe RawNfit for a week of bananas and greens?? I'm confident you will be happy with the results, especially for your digestive system.  I'm going to mainly be making smoothies and aiming for around 30 bananas a day and a half-1 head of celery a day.  Jump on board!

Hi Freela I’d love to join, I'm willing to try anything at the moment. I love bananas they’re my favourite raw food so it wont be hard. Only thing is I may have to start on Tuesday, I have to be up at 5am tomorrow morning and wont be home till after midnight so I wont be near blender all day (Although I could just eat bananas all day). Are you only going to be eating celery with your smoothies or mixing other greens as well?

Awesome! Will be great to share our experiences, post on the 100day raw thread? Any greens as long as they are organic and tender but mainly celery. Looking forward to even deeper cleansing on this simple diet :-)  Look forward to reading your experiences.
