I am loving this so much. Do you have "Ready Brek" in Australia? It's an instant hot oat cereal and the adverts always showed kids eating it and getting a glow of warm light round them. Well here's a raw (ish) version. It's inspired by Kate Magic Wood and for the best combination of superfoods, see her "Porringe" recipe in Raw Magic.

Grind half a cup of flaxseeds and whizz into a bowl. Add all your favourite superfoods and raw sweeteners (chocolate powder/purple corn/lucuma/suma/bee pollen/honey/vanilla are all wonderful). Then add enough freshly boiled water to make this into porridge.

I love this stuff - so does my son. It's summer here (in theory) but it's still cold. This is pure comfort food and the combination of the EFAs from the flax and the dense nutrition from the heavenly superfoods has given us a lovely glow. Who needs Ready Brek.

I'm not familiar with Ready Brek, but your version sounds great.  Definitely going to give it a try with the kiddies.  I do find it hard to find raw food that is quick, yet warm for winter.
