exotic asian fruits Sad. I would really love too due to the health benefits.

I've tried durian vomited
Ive tried mangosteen diahorrea/vomiting/gas
Ive tried perssimons and got a huge headache
Ive tried custard apple same thing

Is this because my body is not used to these fruits?

if I was going to try exotic asian, would that be fruit ?

I think that it's not the fruit per se, but their quality that causes the issues mentioned. I used to love durians, but because I could not get a fresh one, so I used to buy the frozen variety (a whole frozen durian). Then, one day, Luke brought home some frozen ones, without the skin, in plastic bags. I had a few and ... vomited! Unique I've been off durians ever since, still feeling reluctant today.

I've tried custard apples and persimmons, and their quality pretty much depends on where they were grown, how far they travelled, how they were transported. I've tried some amazing tropical fruit near Byron Bay, and some really yucky ones in Tasmania. I've had more luck with the yummy ones closer to where they are grown.

Thanks for that Gosia. The durian i bought smelled really bad like vomit itself so it must of been off.

I think they can also treat some of the fruit with sprays when they come from overseas and other states - this might be part of your problem too.

maybe you didnt eat the fruits on empty tummy?

are you not use to eating fruits?

did you hydrate enough before hand?hows your digestion generally?did you over eat on the fruits?

did you eat one fruit at a time til full,or mix em up?

agree on the spray factor...best organic in the region they're grown..best for freshness etc..

durian has a strong 'gas leak' kinda smell...but shouldnt smell like vomit!

so many factors....

remember fruit is a massive detoxifier and can cause some (beneficial) unrest as it cleans you out,lol

met a girl the other day who eats one piece of fruit per day,if shes lucky..i told her i usually eat in the region of 16-20+ pieces of fruit per day...her eyes bugged....he he

fruit it up!! its the best

Yes it was in the morning when i only eat fruit. I eat lots of fruit in the morning. I dont know what it is but even when i eat bok choy or chinese cabbage kind of gives me the same smelling burps and defication. I know they are good for you just dont know why. Is it the manure they use, i just cant put my finger on it. I read that they have lots of calcium  and the fruit has extra health giving properties which is why i want to eat them.

those greens are higher in sulfur content(hence the smellier gas?) and i think (correct me if im wrong)durian also is high in sulfur? hence the gas smell?

i love it though....i am a day closer to eating durian...i miss it...sniff sniff..boo hoo

I've tried durian in Sarawak (Borneo island), Singapore, mainland Malaysia...... and Australia, the Australian ones have been much more mild in taste, but I haven't been able to get enthused about any of them.  Could Thai durians be soooooo different to Malaysian ones? (I'm pretty sure most Singaporean durians ones are Malaysian)  I've had friends that are locals saying 'this is a really good one' (not the stall holder that you expect to say it) I still thought they smelt like rotten socks and didn't like the taste, or how oily they were. No accounting for taste.......
