Hello!

I did some more or less fruitless research on self made sports drinks.

I am looking for drink that contains only vegetables and/or fruit and/or nuts whether fresh, dried or whatsoever. No minerals or refined things whatsoever, e.g. salt or sugar.

Any experience on that?

Bye

Andreas

Holding a bottle of Powerade in my hand right now. (It's not mine, really).
It's basically made of water, sugar, sodium, potassium and artificial additives.
4 out of those 5 things you would have if you blend water, banana & celery together.

Doug Graham also recommends simply soaking dried fruit (like raisins) in water for a day or so. The sweetness of the raisins goes right into the water. It's quite delicious.

He has people work on their 'drink' while they are in training, so they have it perfected when they actually compete.

I've heard again and again that young coconut water is a very high source of electolytes.

Nice to see you again Andreas.

My idea was to mix carrots with selery, apple and either the soaking water or the soaked arame, dulse, nori and this kind of stuff.

What do you think?

P.S.
Thanks Jennie :-)

You're welcome!

I think this sounds great. Are you talking about juicing the veges and then adding the soak water? Nice.
