I have one

:
following the 811 program you need fruits and veggies in 'very' large amount as your eating lower calorie dense food (less fat) in your daily ratio...
so if your alone eating this way and working/earning good money it might work well , but , what if you have kids and family / friends and/or aiming to become self-sufficient on a fruit and veggie farm ?
Pretty much work hey , you would need a farm nearly on your own or in other case be a millionar to feed your family and shop organicly??
lets take an example from the 811 menu-plan at random from the book to convert it for a 4-head family (considering we consume all an average of 2000 calories)...
12 lb. bananas = 46 medium bananas a day = around 300 bananas at week
4 oz medjool dates = 1 1/2 cup dates = 10 cups at week
4 lb. strawberries = 150 strawberries = 1050 at week
2 lb. strawberries = 75 strawberries = 525 at week
2 lb. yellow bell peppers= 8 medium = 56 at week
2 lb. oz romaine lettuce = 2 large head = 14 at week
4 lb. romainelettuce = 4 big heads a day = 28 at week <with above it becomes 42 lettuces a week>
1 lb. red bell peppers = 4 medium = 28 at week
1 lb. oz strawberries = 38 medium = 266 at week
thats pretty lots of product to grow or buy hey ?
I personally love fruit and 811 as a great guideline - yet i am unclear on how much sustainable -in terms of budget , practicability, avialibity and in terms of producing/selfsustaining- it is for us and the Planet.
Any thought on this Dr. D , thanks...!
