Hi Everyone,
I'm not sure what everyone's opinion is on genetically modified foods, but I personally think they're dangerous and will be the undoing of mankind in respect to diet and health.
I believe that the human body has its own intelligence and knows the difference between what is good nutrition and bad nutrition.
I believe the body recognises these foods on a cellular basis.
If the dna of a food is changed to something that is not natural, I can't see how our body can recognise it as 'food'. Genetically it just wouldn't be 'acceptable' to our bodies.
I'm sure that this may be an opinion that some would disagree with, however, my opinion remains absolute, as does my faith in Nature.
For those who are interested, here is a link to just some of the genetic research plots around Qld. Mind you, this is data from 2001, so I am guessing that these plots have increased considerably since then.

Already genetic modification of strawberries (I've been told modified with fish dna) is now out in the 'field' so to speak, and is so uncontrolled that there is no way of telling which strawberries on our shelves are modified and which ones are not.
A great arguement to support organic... and heirloom seeds Smiley
Hope this is of some interest to someone on this forum Smiley
