How about we create a pinned topic of raw food and raw friendly restaurants around Australia. Please add any you know of, with the city, state, name, address etc and what you love most about it.

Some non raw restaurants still rock at creating beautiful salads, so please include any you really feel stand out too.

Seldom out to eat as things are better at home LOL
Partner says , since she eats my raw-food she cant eat other ones anymore LOL...
I tell her its not me , its just the Raw Food itself...!

but if your up to find some raw food in Northern NSW - Byron/Mullum Area go to:

Santos Shop in Byron Town , Johnson Street : featuring yummy Raw Crackers and healthful organics,
Santos Industrial : turn right on the BP out of town , then follow your intuition  laugh (ask someone LOL) --good products as similar above , but more range...

Santos Mullum , very central , sometime has crackers...

+ there is Sushi Wala that has raw vegan food + raw desserts....  just near Santos Mullum behind the corner...

'generally every organic fruit stall becomes a perfect 'raw restaurant' when i'm around...'

oh , i forgot ,

Byron Thursdays Market : theres a Raw Stall there , and plenty of fresh products...!

The Veggie Bar in Brunswick St, Melbourne is vegetarian, and they do a TERRIFIC house salad which is raw. It is HUGE and incredibly good. As well as juices.

Need to work on their fruits, though!

well now it seems that there's spoil me raw at miami. the magic apple on the gold coast highway right next to burleigh heads mcdonalds has some raw salads, a raw fruit salad and juices. i really wish people were more educated in the hospitality industry on things like veganism.

the other night i had a cooked dinner, some teppanyaki and they cooked my tofu on the hot plate right where some chicken had just been and i asked them to do it again and i felt a bit bad but i thought at least i've educated them. i mean is it seriously not obvious that you wouldn't want your tofu and veges mixed with chicken fat!?!?!? shrug some people i've talked to honestly haven't heard of the concept of vegetarianism let alone veganism. i was at dinner and a chinese girl was telling me when she was younger she didn't even realize that there were people who didn't eat meat.

it would be nice if fancy hotels and all those chefs like jamie oliver ect learnt about raw cuisine and added it to their repertoire so major cities and restaurants all had raw vegan food options. not that you can't go to a fruit store but since the raw movement is growing it would be nice to be able to eat out with friends and get decent salads ect.

Yeah I hear ya Trav, on my recent bike trip I visited a cafe in Texas (qld) which also sold watermelons.  I asked the lady if she could cut a melon in half for me which she was happy to do but before I could cut in (pun intended)...she drove  the same knife that she was cutting ham tomato sauce sandwiches into the poor  unsuspecting melon, I saw some raw meat out the back too which I suspect she was using the same knife on :'-(((((

I have a sneaking suspicion that Jamie Oliver either is veggie friendly or is a veggie. I think he uses meat to sell his profession and earn bucks for his mysterious wife and two children. Which is not always that bad. His book on his own organic garden has some good not only veg recipes but raw as well. (His broad bean dip is entirely raw).

He's certainly very strong on organic.

Just some musings from a pop-culture consumer!!! LOLOL!!!! (not really; I don't consume pop-food...!  rofl rofl rofl)

raw carrots to everyone,
