I have been makeup free for almost 2 months now and I have to say..I feel very free!
My skin has become so incredibly soft due to a gorgeous moisterizer of pure organic coconut oil, the eating type...I just gently massage it into my skin morning and night and during the day around my eyes, and I truey can see a huge difference in the fine lines around my eyes...they are GONE!

Also I have noticed since not wearing mascara everyday, my eyelashed are extreemly thick and long again...I still "do" them everyday...with the magic coconut oil, I have a mascara brush that I washed out and smother in coconut oil and brush and comb up my lashes to look like mascara...works beautifully.

I am NOT against makeup...infact I love to wear it, makes me feel more beautiful... but sometimes this natural way, is great for my skin and also I feel as if I am not hiding anymore...

Dare to bare!

ps...thanks to neet..loving the gifts too

Hi BerryBliss - it's great to hear this feedback on your experiences with coconut oil. Because I'm really experimenting with what works for me right now, I'd love to hear more about this from you.

I find coconut oil dries me out to a painful level; it actually dehydrates my skin. Whilst Melb has talked about this before on another thread, I'd love to ask you whether or not coconut oil dries you out at all as well.

Also, because I live in dry cold Melbourne, I think the weather has something to do with it. In Hawaii, coconut oil kept my skin incredibly beautiful. What sort of weather are you having?

Hope you don't mind my obsessionality!  rofl rofl rofl

Best cheers, Niqi

I have replaced all facial products with coconut oil.  I just use it to wash my face with while I'm in the shower in the morning.  By doing it in the shower with water then patting my face dry with a towel after, is just the right amount of oil for my skin.  I found that if I put it on after my shower, I felt too greasy.

I used to struggle with skin (particularly nose and cheeks) that would have dry outer layers of skin but still be oily underneath???!!!  I haven't had a problem with oiliness or dryness since using coconut oil.

BB, I saw you bare-faced, you're face is gorgeous.

(I tend to be too lazy for makeup, although I wouldn't mind fun with it either.)
