How awesome this will be! A Byron or Brunswick Heads do! I'll have to email Free. We can probably offer her a lift if she doesn't mind being in the back with the kiddie links!

What time works for most people?

1 pm?

Are you thinking of coming Organic Girl?  You are most welcome.  There will be several families, many instruments and all manner of toys.

Most likely our lovely feasting festivities will be in the gorgeously scenic Brunswick Heads.  As the date comes closer, we'll (whoever of us here) check out the weather and give directions.

It would be wonderful to meet Freelea!  Come on Free!  Squeeze in with the littlies!

Jennie, do you have any hula hoops?

Poi and all manner of balls, frisbees, skipping ropes....etc...would be fun too!  Whatever you feel to bring.

Is Karen coming?  Miriam?  Anyone else coming from the Gold Coast/Brissy areas?

I am thinking of making a sprouted quinoa tabeouli and coconut cacao balls...

and perhaps some sprouted homous...

 laugh

Another friend mentioned he may bring a couple of durian!!!!  cool  oh how scrumptious!!

Mmmmm...

Durian!!! *Jen is Delightfully dizzy!*

I have a hula hoop but might have to invest in a couple more for the day. Love the hula hoop.

I got an email from Freelea tonight and she said she might be able to make the Byron event so that'll be really awesome as well.

I have no idea what I'll make. Perhaps a strawberry pie and a big salad. Even a greens/fruit salad?  Yummers.

Wonderful it will be to meet you Freelea and possibly Frances too!!   laugh

And with Organic Girl and I assuming Ivan and Isha are coming also, plus some other families I know who aren't visible here on the forums, this is looking likely to be quite a large and festive party!!!   juiceup

I am sure whatever you feel impulsed to make Jennie will be truly delicious.  Raw dessert sounds soooo good to me right now.  Especially after lunch...

I just made a stinging nettle, avocado, lemon juice, wild greens and herbs smoothie and poured it over the top of rocket and endive leaves with cucumber and tomato and DELICIOUS RAW SPICED OLIVES!!  Mmmmm!

oh yeah, this was soooooooo good ~ sitting in the warm winter sun....munching....

 ohyeah

Sorry I haven't replied for a while - been far too busy with work.

I understand that familiies with small kids may not feel too good having dogs at the picnic.  For this reason I am happy to leave them at home.

Jen - unfortunately I will not be able to make the raw food picnic at Daisy Hill on the 9th
as I will be attending Grant's raw food retreat in NSW.  I fly out tomorrow for it and I am
really looking forward to it.

MissBliss - I am based in BNE.

I can't wait to meet everyone,
Love and Hugs,
S.

Oh have fun at Grant's retreat. I don't mind the Furry Kids being there but I do understand...

It's going to be amazing.

Lucy Stegley would love to come but needs a life. She is based in Runaway Bay so if anyone is going to the Byron picnic and has room in their car it would be a great thing if you could fit Lucy in!

Lucy's details removed

snicker  Omgosh Jennie, what a classic typo!  Lucy Stegley would love to come but needs a life. She is based in Runaway Bay...

I am sure a lift will materialize right on cue...well, I certainly would like to meet you Lucy and with the extra thought intention towards that eventuality from us here too, you'll probably find yourself here in a blink! O O

Looking forward to meeting you too, Sharon.  I understand the busy.  I often find it challenging to do everything I feel I would like to do on the internet.  People like Jennie amaze me.  How does she manage to run a business, nourish loved ones and self and still post detailed journals and lovely comments to others here ~ wow!   Raw Power!

Ivan!!  Are you able to come next Sunday?   cmon

I'll post a map within the next few days too.   Geez, it's going to be soooooo much fun, meeting you all and sharing life/light sparkles!

 cool

Sanghama, great!  Even if you don't know if you can join us right up until the last minute ~ you'd be welcome to surprise us all with the gift of your presence at the drop of a hat!

Aw Pinky!  It is looking to be quite a large gathering indeed, with muchus feasting and frivolous fun.  I am sure in some amazing future moment many of this community's raw fiends will feast, jam and dance together.  A wild joyous celebration of life, light, love and laughter...

we'll dream it into being together...

The Byron Bay Shire Raw Do

Date:  17th Sunday August 2008

Time: 1 pm

Where:  South Beach Road

I am thinking that the area just over the bridge, from off Mullumbimbi street, on the bend in the road yet off the road...hehe, would be nice.  It has an undercover area etc.  It is easy to find, but we could always hang some streamers (long strands of sea weed  laugh )  in the vicinity of our raw picnic.

Jennie, your words were perfect...I trust it's ok to duplicate your list and words below for this picnic!

Please bring with you to the picnic,

    * A plate of yummies to share
    * Something to sit on ie blankets or chairs
    * Plates, cups and cutlery
    *  A bottle of water
    * If you make something awesome the recipe to share
    * It might be a good idea to bring a pen and paper for if you would like to write down any books, recipes or other information commonly shared at these events.
    * If you would like to bring a musical instrument, hula hoops, frisbees, poi, balls, skipping ropes then most certainly do so.
    * Lets get some raw facts happening. They can be weird, well known or not, funny or not. I'm sure there is plenty of stuff that others don't. Lets see what we can come up with!

If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to ask me. I often get asked what to bring? Well, if you are not confident in sharing your uncooking skills then something simple like a fruit platter or even a water melon is just fine. Please remember that they are meat, dairy and egg free picnics. A lot of the time stuff has honey in it and that's ok but it's good to say so first so you don't surprise anyone. It's usually raw but no raw meat or dairy please!

Also please make sure your food is 100% raw. Some items can be questionable so it's worth checking.

Blissy Fish I was just coming in here to ask you if you could please put up some directions! Snap! I am honored that you have quoted me with you being such a wordsmith and all!

Lucy Stegley is still needing a lift. We are going to stay in Byron for the weekend otherwise we could help out. Is anyone able to help Lucy? Here are her contact details again... Her email is details removed

Oh! Hahaahaaaaaaaaaaaa. I just did that same typo here. I hadn't even realised that I'd already made that same mistake. Whoops... but it's funny.

xoxoxox

Thank you!

Sacha is giving Lucy a lift.

I'm upset because Brock was throwing up all night last. I'm worried that Caitlyn will get it next and we won't be able to go. Sad Everyone affirm, if you can, that Jennie's kids are in extremely good health. That way we will def be there.

I am so looking forward to going to get the jackfruit. YUmmmmmmm!
