How evil is salt (yes this is a rant)

Tonight, i think i was a little over raw and wanting to rebel. Unable to bring myself to do anything too drastic i made some raw dips, real fatty ones, cut up carrot stick, put some cherry tomatoes on the plates, and...........cooked some poppadoms.

Now i used to consider this a healthy food, and i loved them! The moment i bit into them all i could taste was salt, ick! But i perservered, and when i complained hubby was just like what are you talking bout. Ever since ive been so so thirsty, cant drink enough.

Now hours later, i have cramps (damn it) and sore boobs  Sad AND am getting some nasty tension headaches. Wow, who woulda thought salt could do that.

Now after dinner i felt a bit icky, but i figured it was probs just the intersting combos id made up, and the high fat content of the dinner. But, hubby felt really sick, which was weird coz its usually me that reacts to foods. I did make one dip with chick pea sprouts and ive suspected for a while that they are a problem food for him, so it could have been that for him.

So, i just checked the salt content of the poppadoms, and man i wasnt imagining anything. It has a whopping 360mg of salt to, wait for it.....just 16gms! So ive probs consumed more salt in one sitting than i normally consume in a week. Of course hubby couldnt taste it, he eats salt in foods all the time (breads a nasty one for it).

Lesson learnt, if im going to fall off the wagon, do it with something unprocessed  evil

Oh that's no good. I hope you feel better soon. My guess is that they were not using celtic sea salt or Himalayan salt. I'll bet it was the typical iodized stuff. Blerk.
