Mums keen to get into raw & we've heard there is a cafe that sells raw options somewhere near Miami on the Gold Coast.  Jen do you know what the name is or location? (have pm'd u) or does anyone else?

hey Free, check your emails! I replied half an hour ago to your email! here is a cut and paste from mine and Nicky's emails.

Here is the details cut and pasted from Nicky's email.

3&4 kiers road Miami   (off kedron) ph number is 0403672191
Menu  selection  raw food cakes pizzas dips crackers and icecream.
opening hours 11am to 3pm thursday friday11am to 5pm saturday 9am to 12pm

Not according to the hours in the email she sent but you could give her a ring. She knows about you! I told her about your epic adventure and Nicky is keen to meet you. She used to be really fit. Probably still is! She used to run 10km's every morning because... that's just what she did!

so does that mean nici is now open on those days and i can drop in and get ready made raw food? that's so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm always on the run (not from the cops  rofl) and even if two days of the week i could do that it will help me eat raw. are you coming to the picnic this saturday freelea?

i kept driving past places called 'raw energy' are they raw or just juice bars..

would have loved to have dropped in there at miami(used to live at mermaid waters) but was too busy, be down that way in a few months will be taking my time and that will be first stop on the goldie..

We have a raw energy in Coolangatta. While they do have a big list of salads most have a cooked element of either meat, cheese or bread. I did get a really nice salad once but felt cheated by the name! I was so pleased when I saw the name. It's like the Raw Cafe in Melbourne. I nearly fell over myself trying to get to that and the first thing I saw when I got close was all of the soft drink in the fridge. Sad

Ha ha!! I was at the Coolangatta raw food place!! I saw the sign walked in looked at their (not raw) food walked out to check the sign and walked away.

I felt so cheated!

It's a sad thing Eve. Truth be told they are have a lot healthier menu options out there than most but still... not a raw restaurant. They could call themselves "some raw energy"! The man who started them is apparently a very nice man. I would love to meet him one day. Find out how he eats.

You are totally right that they have more healthy options; I just got all excited when I saw the sign and imagined myself sitting on their terrace with a beautiful green smoothie...
