Day 3

Good day today. Lots of bananas and celery even though I had a filling done today as well. Haven't been keeping count of my bananas....should I?? I think probably 10-12 at the moment which I think is okay while I am losing weight but that will increase when I can do more exercise.
Headache gone but forgot about the diuretic effect of celery and was up about 4 times to the toilet last night!!!
So, how many of us are doing the bananas and greens only thing??

Thankyou Free for that very comprehensive reply. I appreciate it. I will mull over it all some more. I feel like I have overeaten when I feel physically sick and uncomfortable and then sometimes I keep eating because I feel so bad. Using meditation and other mind techniques has really improved this situation.
I was able to do a 45 min workout at the gym yesterday and today banana lovers I liberated two whole boxes of slightly spotty not -organic bananas from the bin at the local fruit shop. eureka!!! I will be generous with my friends and using lots of peoples freezers to deal with this windfall. honestly the thrown away calories in this world astounds me. Love to all.
Love to talk with you more Free about all this-can I hire you as my personal trainer? lol.

Well I've just had a magnificent dinner. Started with a drink of two young cocos blended with 500g strawbs, a vanilla pod and some agave which was delish. We then had some hommus which I added some olives to with herb and garlic crackers. Then it was onto dinner. Free, Sacha and Sanghama were here to keep Bill and myself company. Free is amazing and stuck to her narnas and greens. Together we came up wtih this idea....

This was water blended with celery, baby greens and bananas, then we topped with more chopped baby greens, narnas and celery. Was it a soup or a smoothie? We could not decide, so we think it's the world's possible first Green Smoupie! LOL.

Here's another pic...

Huzzah! I was quite happy with that. While I was making the strawberry drink I was thinking that I would like to dress things up a bit. Most of the time when people visit I just throw out a few plates and some cutlery and it's every person for themselves. But I thought that tonight I would make the table pretty. So, I created these...

Oh! You can even see the remains of the strawberry drink in this one!

Aren't they cute! I didn't get a photo of the set table. I wish I had. It looked really pretty.

And Free and I had to have a photo taken as well. Free has some better shots on her camera I think but this is a nice one too!

Didn't spill a drop of this one!

This is what the rest of us had for dinner. Twas delish! Baby greens, grape tomatoes, carrot, cucumber and a dressing of young coco water, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, salt, chilli and agave. Yummmm! Did really well.

As far as nights went. Twas  a great one!

Thx for coming guys. It was an honor to have you in my house!

Great pics Jen, thanks for having me over, you always are so warm and giving everytime i see you, lucky me eh?! ;-) Your yummy young coconut salad was very tempting but when you whizzed up my smoupie I was satiated just by the sight! Was so great to catch up with Sanga finally, she is lovely, can't believe how much she looks like Catmom.  Susan... herhhmmm (clears throat) I mean Sasha ;-P is always a pleasure to spend time with & ofcourse Bill and your lovely kiddies, what a fun night, I love the fact that im always gauranteed a laugh when I see you Jen and that is special thankyou xx

Beck my pleasure, i went off on a bit of a tangent! I'm basically proposing another way of thinking in regards to the 'overeating' issue as I can see that mentality not getting results for myself or others, seems to be a merry-go-round so maybe if we eliminate the possibles (like making sure we get enough sugar into the cells) then maybe we will get one step closer to a solution :-) If you have any fitness questions ask away!

Hi Neetness (hey this is sortof sticking;-)thanks for sharing your day of exercise and food and what a great day it was! A nice blend of crosstraining there. x

Hey RnF :-)
Well done on ya narna's.  Try not to think in terms of calorie restriction, if you want to eat more, eat them! Even if you are trying to lose weight.  You need to have enough sugar to the cells and brain for it to perform the function of releasing weight.  Take it from someone who has seriously been down that track many times unsuccessfully, if you restrict your cals your body will eventually get fatter.  Lets make this weightloss effort for the long term and sustainable as well.  There is also the risk if you undereat cals that you will find cooked food MUCH more appealing and fall off the wagon.  A lot of the reason I stay on raw so easily is because I eat enough sweet fruits.  Exercise is another huge & VITAL addiditive to successful, long term weightloss.
Restricting calories is a 'lack' or 'fear' mentality which will lead to the body holding onto weight, I suggest developing an 'abundance' mentality then the bodymind won't be scared to release the weight as it will know there will always be plenty of food!

Remember to be patient with your weightloss efforts as your body has its own agenda and may be doing some serious organ healing before it can gather the strength and vitality to release the weight.

Free,
Thanks for the reminder. I do need to eat more bananas. I remember Doug telling me the same thing but I get full so quickly so I just have to practice!! I am enjoying a 4 nana green smoothie at the mo'...about to head off to work so will be taking a heap of nanas and celery with me and will even try and nibble between patients?? As I think I will be home at a reasonable time tonight I will make another big smoothie then.

I am feeling good although that horrible detox tongue thing is happening and I am getting that foul taste in the mouth. I will try not to breathe on anyone today!!

Cheers

Today's eats:
9.00am banana, apple, carob ginger pudd(at least 5 nanas)
1.00pm 3 large nectarines
3.00 pm gs of banana, celery, lettuce, kale, parsley, apple, orange-so much that I finished the last few mouthfuls at 9.30 pm

Today's exercise:
10 mins running about playing frisbee
20 mins skipping
10 mins stairclimbing
15 mins mixed aerobics and strength exercises.

Feeling a bit bananaed out-not fancying many more- I don't think I like them so much because not organic. Craving salty fatty stuff not sugary stuff. Tomorrow I plan to include some fats at the end of the day.

I didn't eat a lot yesterday. I just didn't want to eat. but I've woken today with a voracious appetite. So After i've had my litre of water. I'm going to have a nice green smoothie of young coconut water, bananas, dates and celery. I have the best celery in the world at the moment.

Yummmm!

I was doing some research on tooth regeneration last night and found that people who have grown back teeth were eating loads of greens at the time. So loads of greens it is for me! My teeth are not constantly hurting like they were a month or two ago but I still have a few sensitive areas.
