Another Great day. I've just had a ball. Pretty typical food day. Watermelon for Brekky followed by Green Juice... then a chia seed puddn for lunch. 1.5 litres of water plus what was in the melon and puddn. Awesome.

Big salad for my dinner. I'm not sure what I'm going to throw in it just yet but I'm thinking that I might make some noodles for dinner as well. yummm!

Have a wonderful night all.

Day 3

I had a dull head pain (didnt feel like a headache) at the base of my scul yesterday which I am sure was a detox symptom as it didnt feel like I had a headache IYKWIM. And again today it is going up the right side of my head but at the back and sort of down my neck. I must be all those biscuits coming out. That is all I have been falling of the wagon for. The kids have one so why not me have one. But none now for 2 days yippee for me.

I didnt eat a lot yesterday didnt really feel the need
Gs spinich and banana
hummus with Carrot Celery and capsicum strips
I know I had something else but cant think
Then I had my tofu thing only had a little cause I recked it and it tasted like yuck all I wanted was a salad should listern to my body hay.

So today is going to be a better day for eating I have allready had
1 litre of water
gs spinich and frozen banana (yum even better then with normal banana).

I hope you have a great day I have so much to do even if I dont feel like it.

Lots of love to you All

Hey Pinky, 'must be all those biscuits coming out!' lol! love it :-D  The headache doesn't sound too nice...Keeping your water intake high may help the body speed up the elimination process also getting enough carbs too, as a lack of glycogen to the brain always causes some headaches for me.  You are doing great! Day 3 and on track x
Jen your day yesterday sount yummy with the chia seed pudding...I just want to torture myself for a moment;-D...what noodles did u end up making?

DAY 2 For me....
Been researching Duathlons and half marathons most of the day.
My nanas aren't as ripe as Id like so my smoothies are a little less satisfied..

7.30am:  1.5litres of water
8.30am:  Hilly 10km bike ride = 40mins
8.45am:  30mins yoga/stretch/cartwheels
600mls water
10. am:   5 banana & 2 sticks celery smoothie
12.3am:   same as above
2.00pm:   2 bananas
4.00pm:   3 banana & stick celery smoothie
430pm:   40min slow jog
1.2 litres of water
6.30pm:   Salad with 7 bananas, bok choy, 1 iceberg letttuce head
22 bananas today
Extra exercise:   689cals burned (i think more)
Day Quota     :   2189 cals
Consumed     :   2437 cals
Fat-3%, Carbs-92%, Protein 5%
Water =3.3litres

Ended up doing my extra jog, it was very slow, what i call a recovery jog.  Feel great today, really energised and ready for whatever life has in store!  Loving just having nanas too, they digest like a dream, especially in smoothie form.

Hey Pinky, you are a funny girlie! I hope you are feeling much better today...

Free I didn't end up making noodles. I had a really big salad and then flopped on the couch and watched tv! For the first time in aaaaaaaaaaaages. I was going to watch some olympics but there was sports on I had no interest in so I didn't! We watched a doco on bears instead which was fascinating! Loved it.

Brekky, loads of water, then juice, then nuts, then a bar, then more water, more water, more water, 5 bananas, mint suntea!

Ok, not a high water foods day but that's ok! I'll make up for it tonight.

Free... A hilly 10k bikeride must be like.... getting out of bed for the rest of us after your huge effort recently. Must say that you're looking good! Have a great evening...

Jackson, I'm going to try a tea today that might interest you. In my coffee grinder I'm going to blend cinnamon, cloves, vanilla bean and star anise and pop it in a jar, add filtered water and pop it in the sun for a few hours. Hopefully by tonight it will all be infused and lovely!

Hey Jen, how was that sun tea?  Sounds delish, although its really the creaminess of added milk in a hot tea that I enjoy (actually rice milk).  But maybe I could wean myself onto sun teas...

I have discovered that I use a cup of tea in much the same way that I used to use cigarettes...as a reason for a 'time-out'.  With cigarettes it used to be a break from work, these days a cup of tea is a 'time-out' from the kids!  I am trying to work on having a 'time-out' meditation instead of having to fill the time with a cup of tea or even food.

I'm wondering if it would be a good idea if we all share some plans as to how to combat difficult situations that may arise. I've got to dash now to take the kids to school but will think on this and add more at the end of the day.

I'm liking this idea so I'm gonna throw something in...

...a weakness area for me is cooking a meal for the rest of the family and I end up sitting down and eating it with them.  (especially when its a hot meal and I'm feeling cold)  Thanks to a suggestion of Jennie's I have read previously, I try to remember to prepare my meal beforehand - and if I am feeling really tempted I will satisfy my taste buds with foods I would normally try to limit (like throwing in an extra avocado, a large handful of olives or dried fruit and nuts)...fatty foods tend to satisfy me when I'm feeling cold

...also, I am finding that exercise is really reducing my desire for cooked and fatty foods - an unexpected bonus I reckon!

...oh, and drinking enough water between meals so that my belly is full up with water that I couldn't possibly fit any food in  laugh

Day 4 yippee

I Have to buy a new pillow i was up at midnight feeding Islie and layed back down and within minutes my headache started again (had been awake for quite a while and woke up with a headache but with me stretching it disapeared), so I am off to buy a new pillow today or tomorrow.

Yesterday was a pretty good day not enough water and still had that headache and was extremely tired with Islie waking up 3 times a night for a feed. but other then that it was great.

GS with frozen bananas(the best yum) and spinich
hummus and celery carrot and capsicum sticks
big salad with my herb salad Avo sure there was more in there then that
2 pears 1 orange with honey
Even bigger salad for dinner.

I dont have much fruit or veg in the house right now cause we didnt go to the markets this weekend so I have to go and get some today and with Pete being off work perfect oportunity.

Sunday is going to be hard for me cause its Bella's 3rd birthday and Pete is shocking with food. So I might actually do a water fast on that day to stop temtation. I read neet suggesting that to BB on her jounral and I thought well I use to do it before when I was high raw so maybe I need to incorporate it in with this challenge.

I still have a slight headache (yep most prob more biscuits (love the fact you all think that is funny thanks)) or it could also be from my pillow still. But I will just eat healthy food cause that seems to help it sometimes.

anyway lots to do today with 3 littlies thank godness Pete is home I got to sleep in.

Love toyou all and have a fantastic raw day.

Day 3...

Decided to have a rest day today due to the double cardio session yesterday and I must say all day I was sorta chomping at the bit to train but at the same time was feeling like a rest.
Was actually going to do a long ride because the weather was nice and overcast but didn't quite make it.
I also broke my dried fruit rule already! I had a few bananas mum dehydrated...

1.5litres of water
7:00am:    Walked up steep hill and back 15mins
7.30am:     15mins of salutes to the sun
8.00am:     Bit over half a pawpaw
9.00am:     5 banana smoothie with celery stick
10.00am:   another 2 bananas
12.30:        7banana smoothie + 3 dried bananas
600mls water
3.30pm:     1 x 1kg pawpaw
6.30pm:     Another pawpaw (they are growing everywhere here) and it tasted amazing! 1.4kg + iceberg lettuce and other salad ingredients like organic bokchoy-How goods bokchoy?!
+ another 3 bananas

I ate more then I thought today, part of the reason is I didn't feel like I got enough yesterday and also it was cold today so the body burns more cals, another reason I had too much time on my hands to think about food but all good, mostly smoothies and mono meals so digestion and energy is great.

Extra Activity and Exercise: 97 kcal
Day Quota: 2000 kcal
Consumed: 2279 kcal.....after dinner = 3236
water: 2.1litres,not as much as usual but I didn't sweat today.

Carbs-92% 581gms, Fat-3%-9grms, Protein-5%-31gms

I think i will probably eat more, would like to stop at this but...

Hey Jen :-) The hills around here are definitely scary! But so addictive at the same time, i love the high, like a healthy drug-addict....oh that would probably be an oxy-moron?;-P Thanks for the compliment Jen, u are looking fantastic yourself, you get better each time I see u!

Jackson that is a great idea drinking up until your belly is too full with water to fit food, I have been trying this one too and it does work. Are u on the challenge with us?

Good luck at the Party Pinky, have you thought of maybe buying a whole melon and just munching on that the whole time (it could take the whole party!) I remember once or twice I did this at raw picnics and was so full with water from the melon (& so busy eating it) that I couldn't even look at other food as tempting...

Just found out another reason for munching so much, I got my period, first time in over 2months....interesting as soon as I have simplified my eating and picked up the training I get my period...

Day 3 for me on gs, raw fruits and salads. I’ve been having green smoothies for breakfast, fruit for lunch and a big salad for dinner, so far so good.  I’ve had a horrible headache over the last few days which I’m sure it’s detox…I feel your pain Pinky.

I’ve been jogging 5k most days but the over the last couple of days I’ve been feeling a pain in my chest when I run. Its got me a little worried but I’m hoping that it might be because I haven’t done any exercise for a while and my body is just reacting. I’m going to take it easy over the next few days and see what happens.

I thought I’d write down a few of my goals that I hope to achieve by doing this challenge that way I can keep motivated and stick to it.

Things I want to improve or achieve:

Digestion - I wake up with a flat stomach but by the end of the day I look 6 months pregnant, I’m pretty sure it has something to do with my digestion.
Regular bowel movement - not a pretty pic but hey its one of my goals
Healthy skin and hair - At the moment I have very dry skin and dry brittle hair. I think it may be because I was taking Roaccutane for years. I noticed dramatic changes in my skin and hair when I started taking it them.
Balanced hormones - I get bad acne which I’m sure is hormone related also my monthly’s are very irregular, I get bad cramps and uncontrollable mood swings.
Some weight loss - I’m not overweight but I could do with losing a few kilos or at least tone up.
More energy - Speaks for itself
Happiness - I get very bad mood swings but I do notice a big difference when I eat healthy

They are some of the health goals that I hope to achieve during the challenge.

I’m looking forward to seeing all the changes

Veg xx

Hey Freelea,
yeah I've joined the challenge too but I am just hiding under a rock at the moment as today has been not so raw!  And I'm coming up with all the usual excuses to myself...I have a head cold and am succumbing to some old comfort foods...I have been chilled through to the bone which has encouraged me to eat more stodgy foods...and I made the kids veg and rice for tea last night - one of my weakness foods [I couldn't resist the temptation Sad]  Ok, enough with excuses - I need to reinforce all the reasons why I don't want to eat this stuff.

Now, one of my big weaknesses is bread and my son has asked me to get some in shopping tommorrow night.  I am already cringing having it in the house...not a good attitude to be going into the situation with.  I just need to change my perspective on it, observe my response to my desires and not succumb to them.  Hmmm, and if that doesn't work me thinks I will  have to come up with an affirmation I can run through my head as I am making the kids toast for breakfast!

Day 97. (Countdown)

A good day today. I wanted salad for dinner but imagine my shock when I got to the fridge and there was no lettuce. There was kale and spinach but I prefer to blend those and after a great big bowl of blended greens in my puddn (thx Neet!) for lunch I just didn't want more blended greens for dinner. Bill suggested a raw pizza so that's what we ate!

I'm a little nervous about being away this weekend. We are taking the vitamix and of course as soon as we hit town I'll get us some food. We'll hit Tropical Fruit World on the way there also and get some jackfruit. Yummmmm!

Also, we are taking plenty of dips and crackers. I'm planning on lots of rest and Bill wants to explore so I'll rest while the rest of the fam explores. As part of my rest I do not want to be worried about feeding everyone. Sometimes having so many people eating so differently can be very very stressful. Most of the time it's ok but every now and then it would be nice to just create one breakfast, one lunch and dinner instead of 12 different meals! It's not always 12. In fact. Not very often. Normally I make two to three dinners per night and three different lunches. Exaggerator!

So loads of fresh fruit and veges, a strawberry pie, dips, salad dressings and that should help.

I have noticed just this last week that I am not wanting as many heavy foods at night in my diet. I was wondering when this would happen to me!!! Really enjoying cucumbers, lettuce, carrots, cherry tomatoes and the ox heart tomatoes as well. I'm still getting snacky for nuts and crackers in the afternoon but mostly lighter stuff which is nice.

Yawn! I think it's time for my bedtime.

Oops! Nearly forgot. Jackson I didn't get around to making that tea. Hasn't slipped my mind completely though!

Must get back into the hyper extensions. I may be thin, but my bottom sags more than my boosies!

Day 5 yippee!!!! I feel fantastic  yahh

Free what a fantastic idea I was going to have celery stick carrot capsicum for hummus for me to snack on but i might do your idea as well. Cause I know I will eat so much that I will be full full full.

Vegiedelight headaches are the worst arnt they I hate them especially when I have kids running around me screaming. But today is a better day for me thank goodness. your goals sound fantastic I am so jelouse of you running I cant wait till I can run (I have a lot of weight to loose before I can start).

Jackson take it easy on yourself. If you knew the amount of times I fell of the wagon you would be shocked. Maybe right something for the fridge and when you open it start saying it to yourself everytime. I know some of the ppl here ages ago that helped so much just to have something to reaffirm why they were doing this raw gig. Lots love love to you and I hope today is a better day.

Jen oh to go away. I know what you mean about doing a million dinners (yep it sure feels like that) Im pretty lucky Pete cooks most nights (well use to) but since Islie is getting quicker at feeding I seem to be making more of everyone elses meals too. Its also hard to make sure the kids eat it that is my biggest problem at the moment.

Well I am feeling fantastic. Mum had a new pillow that she brought but was using my good one that I dont like so she said go and get hers which I did and I when I was asleep I sleep so soundly thank god.But then it seems 10 minutes and Islie is awake again for a feed *sigh* then today she woke up at 4 the other two woke up at 5 so I have been awake a long long long time it feels like. But oh well maybe I will get to sleep tonight.

My eating was so much better yesterday I ate heaps and heaps and never felt hungry. I sent Pete to the shops while the kids slept and asked him to buy me some bananas he brought me 3  crazy I couldnt believe he brought me only 3 but I suppose at least he remembered to buy me a few. And Bella has eaten one so I will have to get more today. Men I should have just gone myself that will teach me wont it.

Well food for yesterday
GS spinich and banana
grated apple honey and a little cinimon (dont like cinimon)
Herb salad with lettuce tomato capsicum oh I know there was more but cant think
this was yum pumpkin pasta (made from the saladacco thing) with spinich they I made a sauce with 1 tom, tahini, garlic, paprika and other herbs, oh my that was yum going to make more for lunch yum yum yum
then I had banana (only one reason above) and 2 apples grated with honey again. Nearly couldnt finish it I was so full.

I have to sit down with the kids and play for a little while so I will be back later.

Lots of love and raw energy to everyone
