Where's my fellow rawries?? :-(

Hay Free I am still here havnt been on for a few days (yes I am still kicking with my raw Day 7 today) but I had a*warning warning tmi* IUD (i know I know not raw not good for body but having 3 kids under 3 and nothing else is working had to try somthing to stop them coming through *grin*) and my bleeding from it is really quite heavy and I am so tired. They say it will settle down again it is just my body doint whatever it is doing. But you can sort of tell that it isnt the best thing to be doing but we are too lazy to use other options (sorry for all the details but had to explain).

So day 7 today I have been so good the last week I cant believe I am allready on day 7.

Sorry I am just not really in the mood to type at the moment. So I will come back later maybe. Tomorrow is my big test day with Bella's party. But we will be right we will survive.

love to you all

Hey there Simon :-)Glad ur still here! So glad to hear that the Retreat was awesome, the last 2 i've been to have been amazing, I really wish we could live like that all the time in a raw community, feels so at home.  Haven't got to NT yet, how u going?

I am very well thanks freelea , looking forward to some mangoes but on the flip side I am getting some awesome greens at the Orangrove markets on Saturday morning. 30 bucks and I think I might have enough for more than a week anyway the fridge is full and I am trying out those long life bags.  I like the days to be a little longer but I am sort of uses to the cool weather now. Tell me did you have cold showers on your bile ride up to the old Coast?
Grant stayed at my house on Wednesday night on the way to the US and I think we chatted until 12.30 or  1 so much for getting plenty of sleep. We went for a Spartan Walk at about 9.30 for about an hour the moon was out it was a lovely night and there where lots of stars out as well. Grant sold me 25 KG of macadamia nut that some one had sold to him earlier that day. They taste very different the shells are sill very soft. Might go for a fly next weekend if I can think of some where cool to go and I have been working hardish at getting more business. and I might have to get a decent blender  after using grant it does make a big difference . I have been walking most mornings with dizzy the raw dog and that about it of me Simes. Is Harley some where south of Darwin, this forum is not the same with out him !

Hi Simon, great to hear you are so well :-) How did the mango hunt go? My mum actually found some at her market from NT but they're not ripe and a little sad looking :-(
COld showers on my trip? Yes 2, it can be very disconcerting after a hard day on the bike to arrive to a rest area looking forward to a warm shower and come across a shower with only one tap, and its the cold one! But you know what, I felt better than ever after those 2 cold showers just as I do today.

So glad you could catch up with Grant , he is a great guy, we have had many deep convo's and he has inspired me many times with his wisdom.
yeh maca's in the shell taste heaps different hey? There are less addictive and honestly I dont really like them that much! Would much rather in shell almonds or pecans.
Im not sure exactly in NT where Harls is but I do miss reading his rants!

Day 7 was the raw picnic and I took along and also ate Alice spring Date, banana, rocket and lettuce salad.  I have decided to have Sundays off from tracking my food but still combine well.
Was sooo great to meet Miss Bliss yesterday, such a ray of shining light, a peaceful soul on an amazing journey, I actually got goosebumps when we were holding hands as I was about to leave.
Met lots of other lovely rawries, quite a few actually and Im not the best with names! The whole picnic had a fantastic vibe the only thing that was missing was a hot sun! It was quite windy but we managed.  Jen was her usual fun, vibrant self, I love sharing a cheeky joke or 2 with my witty sista!
Was awesome to see Sash too, I wish we got more time together :-( Fiona and Frances had a great time too and we stopped in at Tropical Fruit World on the way home and stocked up on chocolate pudding fruit and also a sub-par jackfruit which they gave to us!

Day 8....

1.5litres of water so far...bout to go for a jog, girls are asleep

Day 9 and I am feeling great

I did it I got through the whole party without eating junk except I did have a little glass of juice (one from the bottle stuff that really arnt nice) I was so proud of myself. Except them at the end after Pete and I were reflecting on the day I ate a little piece of cake. I didnt even feel like it I just thought I better have it so Bella new mummy was having some (which I will point out she didnt even see me eat it) so what a crap excuse that was. Silly silly silly me. I munched on Hummus and carrot and celery sticks. And I had a huge herb salad before the party so I wasnt going to binge.

I am feeling better now then I was a few days ago the bleeding is all but stoped so i am back on top of the world.

Free I am not a super mum I believe my childrens souls have come to me for a reason and yes even though they are close they are the best of friends which I love. And least they will get to grow up together. Yes it is hard work some days but we struggle through and that is all we can do. But most of the time it is just a joy watching them at their different stages. Im so glad you had a great time at the picnic yesterday i would loved to have come but since I had Bella's party and the price of petrol with my bommy old car it would have cost me a fortune. Like Miss Bliss said in the thread for the picnic we will all enjoy our raw together one day.

Anyway I better go i have a very upset little boy so I will talk later

Love to you all and have a great raw week

Congrats Pinkie! Hugs. You are a super mum. I listen to what you write here and there is so much love and caring for your hubby and kids. You are constantly challenging yourself to newer levels with your parenting and working out how to do things best for all of you. You're amazing and a damned inspiration. Smiley

I can't post for long, I just wanted to say that I've done it! A whole weekend away without a single mouthful of cooked. Yippee! I have no idea what day I'm on. Day 91 I guess. I'll have to go back to the start of the thread and work it out. I'm so happy with myself. Yee haa!

On the other hand, stepped on the scales for the first time in months this morning... have put on 7kg! Far out... so all that gourmet is taking it's toll after all. I didn't think I'd put on that much! I'm taking it as a sign of improved mental health that I am not panicking about this and not berating myself. I know why it's happened and that all I need to do is reduce the amounts of gourmet and increase the fresh fruit and veges and GREENS.

Not had a lot of greens lately so my body is screaming out for them. Sore joints, rashes, muscle cramping etc. Oh! Sounds like detox. It feels more like I'm over acidic though which would be right with too many nuts and not a lot of greens.

Anyhoo... more later.

Hope your tummy accepted the dates and everything else ok Neet.

Free, it was fantastic to see you again yesterday. I'm losing my shyness with you now and feeling very comfy in your company. You shine! Thanks for posting the photos.

I have worked something out. And I know that you all have mentioned it here before numerous times but I think it is one of those thing you have to work out for yourself before you see that it actually is true....

If I am dehydrated/thursty I snack on bad food. I started picking at the cake again today (Pete told me to have a piece yesterday and I said no if I do I will eat a truck load if I dont and I dont know what I am missing I will be able to refrain from it (does that make sense I hope so)). Well I had picked a few pieces off and relised that I was actually really thursty. So got my big bottle of water and drunk it and the picking stoped. Now I have had a few more now just because I know it is there and I know that is bad.... But thank godness for what I have learnt. I made a mistake last night having a piece and now I have to get myself (which will be hard) back on my raw challenge. Cause if I dont I know I am going to binge binge binge.

I also know I didnt have enough water yesterday which wouldnt be helping today so I am off to refill my bottle and drink more and more water.

Thanks Jennie for the lovely words about me and my mothering sometimes I feel like a bad mother but I know with raw the way that I use to snap will slowly stop... I have allready noticed doing raw high raw for this long that I dont snap half as much as I use too and I am more patient. Raw is just so benificial in more ways then one.

Isn't raw amazing for our moods. I often find too that if I am short tempered then a green smoothie is very soothing too. I'm happy with how I'm going right now. I'm not craving cooked foods at all and feeling very good about things. Yippee!

Enjoy your water Pinkie. It's phenomenal when we find these things out on our own level hey.

Well here I am at day 10. No cooked cravings whatsoever and my body was so damned grateful for the high water content foods I fed it yesterday!

Breaky: Blended large rockie
Lunch: Blended bananas, dates, swiss chard and water
Afternoon Tea: olives - about 15-20. Yummm!
Dinner: Iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumber, avocado as a wrap. Yummmyy! I didn't feel the need to dress it. Perhaps that is more to do with my olive pig out than anything!
Dessert: 2 chopped lady finger bananas, and 3 lady fingers blended with a vanilla bean as a sauce. Delish!

Slept very very well. Water v - 2.5Litres. I don't want to drink as much water when I have a blended rocky for breaky.
