Haven’t been online for a few days but just caught up on the thread and Wowza Free and RGG you girls can eat a lot!! Lol. The last couple of days I’ve only managed to eat around 10 bananas a day. The smoothies fill me right up and I find it keeps me going all day.  Free those pics are awesome how attractive do lush, vibrant greens look?? Just want to sink my teeth into them.

I’m still in banana and green heaven. My skin is looking much, much better, in fact better than it has in a long time. My acne is clearing up and the dryness seems to be disappearing. I’ve been drinking around 2 litres of water a day so I think that might be helping too, eventually I want to increase this to 3L. Pretty sure everyone thinks I have a bladder problem I‘m constantly running to the loo  laugh

MissG thanks for the advice on the coconut oil,  as you said it didn’t do much when I used it as a moisturiser but I've been using it as a cleanser instead and I’m finding that this works really well. I've been usuing jojoba as a moisturiser and my skin is loving it.

Raw’nFit my shoes are Asics I don’t usually pay much for shoes but I was lucky enough to get them on special. My knees and ankles stopped hurting as soon as I started wearing them.

Well I’m off to make a banana smoothie

Hey Neety, that coco/date/celery smoothie sounds lovely, real electrolyte hit hey.
1.5litres of green juice, I remember when I used to do that... then I got lazy with the juicer cleaning bit! Can u come round Neetness??....

Feeling good today but it has been raining most of the day and Imiss my sunbaking :-((

Food:

Bananas, raw 10:00 899kcal (3/93/4%)

Bananas, raw 02:00 899kcal (3/93/4%)

Celery, raw 28kcal (11/71/18%)

Bananas, raw 18:00 449kcal (3/93/4%)

greens, raw 45kcal (11/69/20%)

Cals so far - 2320

Running, 08:00 40mins 367 cals

Stretching, yoga 09:00 20mins 62 cals

cals burnt - 429 kcal

I can see my eating evolving to 2-3 meals max a day.  Today was 3 and it felt good as I had lots of time for digestion inbetween which also frees up energy to exercise.
Had a good sweat session today.  Did 3 x 50metre sprints at the end of my jog to really rev the metabolism up, felt great, have to incorporate them more.

I also have to get back into the resistance training as I have lost a lot of my muscle (which I used to love Sad) Lucky i have the muscle memory now so it shouldn't take long.  Took mum to Amart the other day and convinced her to buy some free weights for her to train with, will give her a lesson tomorrow.

VegD yes as Neety said we do train everyday which definitely makes one hungrier! Glad u enjoyed my pics :-D

hey im on my way sweet....greens under my arm,,,sheesh what am i saying your the greens woman....im a comn....and that smoothie is one hell of an electolyte boost for sure,a take off from the Rasayana smoothie of celery juice and coconut water, pure heavenlyness..mmmmmmmmmmm(pssst i wont mention the 'V' word, lol)

Hey 'Nette...

pros....pure oxygenation and detoxification and alkynisation of every single cell in your body, all the goodness of the greens without stress on the digestion..

cons~chopping the greens and cleaning the juicer, but a small price to pay!

Todays eats...

i still need to eat smaller meals often Free...always have had to with my compromised(yet healing) digestion...i eat around 6 times per day...

400mls of fresh orange and mandy juice

1 litres of green juice

5pears

small bunch of grapes
2apples
2 small pears

2 apples

gs
6 large bananas
3 stalks of celery
120gms of aussie dates

2 bananas

1.5 cups of raisins with seeds
6 aussie dates
2 stalks of celery

large salad
1 whole cos lettuce
corn
5 tomatos
carrot grated
zuchinni chopped
25 maca nuts(yes more than is ideal for me....but will go overt fat free next couple of days to balance out!)
lemon juice
ideally i want to keep each salad no more than 5 ingredients, just got a bit excited this evening...as too much variety leads to overeating for me....

Exercise
t5t
run through hills 8kms
10 mins of tramp(knees to chest and knees to but....at least a metre of air time each bounce....and wide leg jumps...and arms pumping....
3 X 21 hyper extentions with a pause at the top of each, and 30 second hold at end of each set,for more burn and effectiveness..

wanted to bounce longer on tramp, but time was of essence...

getting up at 5am tomorrow, half hour earlier to fit in more training....

a girlfriend rang tonight, and i was bubbly and giggling, and she asked if Nige was tickling me,cos i was so happy..i said nope, just happy....feeling so well, and so sure of my path...its a terrific feeling, that i use to take for granted the 4 years all raw, before my uc flare up late last year....whatta way to learn to be grateful for feeling so amazing again!

Today has been a bit weird. Have felt quite nauseous. Had one green smoothie and felt quite ill. Couldn't eat all day then had some fresh pink grapefruit juice mixed with sparkling mineral water and it made me feel so much better. An official rest day. I often exercise when I'm ill as I find it makes me feel better but not sure about the wisdom of that.

Did a great hilly ride this morning, 19kms, 1hr3mins, the Teranora area takes it out of me! Feel so alive no though, its a fantastic feeling.  I seriously don't think i could go on without exercise, up until I went high fruit raw I used to always have to push myself now most days I look for an excuse to exercise, its a great point to get to.

Added some videos from my solo bike trip from Adelaide to Qld and have attached them to my blog, (on the side called video bar) & also changed my blogname, check it out...

I had a nice day. Still raw. I keep forgetting I'm on a challenge but you know, when I feel like cooked I remember this thread, the wonderful people on it and it keeps me inspired.

Slept until nearly 10 this morning which was very nice. Lunch was a Greek Salad with avo instead of cheese. Dinner was banana ice-cream with choc syrup! Amazing what you get to eat when kids are transitioning! LOL.

I snacked throughout the afternoon on fruit. Mainly oranges and I'm about to embark on and olive feast. Yum!!!! I really need to stop eating at night. But food tastes better then... I wonder why? Probably because the kids are in bed, the phone is quiet and I can relax and appreciate it more. Perhaps I should instigate a lunch break in my day??? Worth looking into.

Neet, I hope you get nice and hydrated quickly. I broke my habit this morning. Usually I get up and have two glasses of water, then a shower and then another two glasses of water. Today I forgot that and have been behind all day. Now I'm drinking loads... Hugs!

Anyhoo... hope you are all having a great night!

Nice one Neety :-D Keep that water up !
Hey Jen, yeah I know about the eating at night thing, it is one of my biggest challenges. I find if I get enough carbs through the day I am less likely to look around for more later on.  I used to try the not-eating-till lunchtime method only to find myself ravenous at night because I didn't meet my energy needs.

Woah what day we up to girls??
Im day 6 of my week of Narna's and Greens...

Went for a hill ride at 8am this morning, struggled a little because my quads were still sore from the couple of sprints I did the day before. Felt so amazing after my hill effort today, was very proud. Generally my recovery has been awesome, especially since this banana and greens week.

I actually cheated a little today when I was out with mum. We visited an organic shop and I grabbed the last 1/2kg of mandies, they were lovely. This plus the cane juice on Thursday is my only slip up. Feel fantastic for most of the day, mum said Im really glowing at the moment which was nice.

There are just so many pay-offs for eating a low fat raw vegan diet-
* Skin is now even toned, dewy, soft and clear where as I once had acne
* Eyes are sparkly and clear
* I look for an excuse to exercise, in the past i have always pushed myself into action
* My digestion is just perfect as long as i eat mono meals or max 3 ingredients combined properly
* I used to have stains on my teeth they are now all gone, must be the acid in the fruits cleaning them
* Even blood sugar, no more depressive thoughts

& theres plenty more..

Had a great nude sunbake today, the sun is just so vital, I feel my body detoxing as I lay there and releasing negative energy.

Woke up had my 1.5litres of water, have to drink more throughout the day, will aim for 3litres.

Bicycling -1hr 3mins, 19kms -550 cals burnt

Have had 33bananas for today, it is so important to get enough carbs in to succeed on a raw diet or else cooked food/raw gourmet food will be tempting. Our body and brain runs on glucose so it would make sense to give it the easiest converted source - fructose.

Nudie sunbake would be awesome! I just imagined it. I think I would have to do some training with Bell's. She would be sniffing around all the wrong places. Perhaps in summer I can take my chair outside and work nudie in the back yard for a bit each day? LOL.

I have realised that "high raw with occasional mouthfuls of cooked foods that I have made for the kids" diet is NOT working for me at this point in time because it is always leading to a cooked food binge!  So yesterday (after the last of our interstate family visitors left) I decided to go 100% raw.  I'm not sure how many days are left of this 100 day challenge but I have decided to commit to 100% until the end of September when me and the kids will be going to Adelaide for a couple of weeks to visit friends and family.  After 3 weeks of all raw, I will be able to make a clearer decision on whether I will stay all raw while in Adelaide.

But being all raw is making it so much easier right now...there is no grey area, just black and white - its raw or its cooked and if its cooked then I ain't eating it!  ohyeah

I am loving bananas and oranges at the moment (not sure if they are such a good combination but I have a strong constitution so I am not FEELING any ill effects from this combination).

Green smoothies with orange, banana, mint and celery.

Tea tonight was cos lettuce, banana and orange.

And I am discovering that the more I exercise, the more I want to put clean, living foods into my body...awesome!  yahh
