Sunday's picnic was just delightful! At first the dark clouds and wind had us looking for a warm, sheltered spot to dine in but after being asked by security to leave the hothouse we had set up in we found ourselves outside in a lovely sunny arfternoon! We had a beautiful spread of food...big bowls of organic greens, strawberries, papaya, apples, oranges, chocolate and carob desserts, fresh orange juice...decorated with edible flowers and served on big rugs that we relaxed on. Lou's vanilla banana orange topped cacoa pie was the hit. I must say I was very keen on the greens Jacana brought from his garden, especially the corn salad. We got out the frisbee and had wonderful chats about health, Earth, food, gardening and other catch-up fun. Gosia is planning an event for November and I cannot wait to see everyone again. We had 11 people along this ti me and I reckon these events are just going to grow and grow!

Thanks everyone for such a beautiful time!  yahh

A great afternoon that it was!  Yes, fortuitous that we were sent outdoors to enjoy a beautiful sunny afternoon in the gardens.  And the rain was so courteous as to wait until we had feasted and socialised and were heading for home.  In our case we did get a little wet as the young ones raced up to visit the ducks, and the rainforest garden!
Thank you all for you delicious offerings, your charming smiles, scintillating conversations and endearing presence.  Oh, Lou, how do we make that delicious puddin'?

It was a delightful event that left a nice warm feeling in my tummy AND heart. I smiled all the time afterwards. Smiley Tummy warming food and heart warming people. Smiley

Oh, and it was adventurous too. Being kicked out of the glass house, finding a plant called "dietes vegeta"  ( rofl), being rained on, seeing the tulips, "fighting" over the plastic containers, etc etc.  laugh

She finally found a paradise it seems."
