We're off to a 5km road race soon, should be fun!

This morning did my usual 3.5km jog/run and then followed it with a fantastic yoga session, I felt so at peace and connected with my surroundings.  The joy of being alive was just so strong within me.  I am aiming to increase my yoga to about 4times a week about 30mins in duration.  I just love the union of the bodymind during practise, just a beautiful feeling.

Basically living off mangoes and melon at the moment.  Jackfruit is beautiful but I have been having some a bit underripe and my digestion had been compromised as a result.  My digestion is absolutely perfect right now on just mangoes and melons...no cravings, no gas, no bloating! How good is low fat raw?!? .
Have had about 3litres of water today as a safeguard against dehydration after the race...

My skin is really glowing too with the sun and sweating up here...whoops a bit of weed is growing under my arms!

Took some training interim shots....my arms are already expanding from extra muscle, really happy with the progress

Headin for a 6pack! well sort of!

Have a lovely day everyone!

eeooowww....ssssmokin bod!  Lookin' fine Ms Free!

How was the race?

How long are you in Darwin for?  I lived there for 8 months about 16 years ago.  Loved, loved, loved it!  Reached a major turning point in my life physically and emotionally while I was there and knew I had to move on to take that even further.    We're talking about going there next winter.  I've heard it's changed a lot since I was there, so that should be interesting.  I like what you said about the markets.  I remember mango trees on the grassy / park area just across the road from the north end of the cbd, (free fruit!!!).  We also had mango trees in our back yard.  yumo!

have fun!

love,
Annette....nat. rawmama  xxx

WOW, you are simply glowing girl...you look so fit and radiant, great muscle tone...and who care about the fuzz, if it grows its meant to be there!

Thanks for posting your pics, a great reminder that we can all get there too, putting the effort we will reap the rewards.

BTW, your ankle looks much better...glad you haven't had anymore of those!

Hey thanks girls!

Neety, thanks yes Im looking forward to seeing more ab action...I know my body is a lot happier now and not holding onto fluid like it used to.  I haven't had overt fats for about a month and don't even miss them, especially in the heat up here the last thing you want to be eating is fatty food...should tell the locals that! I also am shocked at how many people smoke up here...not ony is it a poison and stinks but its too HOT!

Hi Annette, thanks for poppin in :-) Not exactly sure on how long we are here for at this stage.  It is a very interesting place and yeah the markets rock! My fav day day of the week for sure. Free fruit yup thats what we should have in this world and we seem to find it a lot anyway, there's thousands of abandoned mango trees up here...yes left to rot! The only competition we have is the magpie geese....I felt very primal the other day as I was slowly stepping through the long grass of the mango orchard hunting & picking ant-covered mangoes and gently resting them till they hopped off, peeling and munching the mango as I continued to forage...coming across a group of mango geese and feeling the tension between us as we compete for the same fruit! :-DD

Hey Berry, shucks! Thankyou what a lovely compliment :-) Thats very inspiring for me Berry. My ankle is heaps better too, it is still flaking off layers of dead skin everyday...the butterfly scar is revealing itself.
I did post the pictures with an aim to help inspire people into trying and staying low fat raw vegan.  As you can see (from when I was in SA) that it really changes your body and mind, well its not actually the food that does that but the food provides the body with the ideal conditions to heal and function optimally.  The best thing is that eating this way is actually what i prefer now....and it wasn't always that way, the biggest changes in my health, appearance and fitness were after 1. omitting salt & condiments followed by increasing fruit dramatically so I meet my sugar requirements (and theres no craving or room for too much fat), exercising regularly and I really upped my water intake, especially first thing before food.

Hey hey,

Yesterday had a nice recovery day, was due to do weights but scheduled a rest after my Duathlon training day Wednesday of bike, run, bike.  I also ate late that night and as of a few weeks ago I decided to only eat when the sun is up so I have been stopping eating about 630.  The results really speak for themselves..I feel lighter, much more awake in the morning, happier disposition, optimal digestion, sleep much better, keener for exercise for thing in the morning and my philosophy is ....we couldn't collect and eat fruit in the dark because we obviously couldn't see it and to me that is a clear signal from nature on how to live so I am sticking to it indefinitely!

Yesterday ate....

A couple of melons
Bout 12 mangoes
3.5litres of water

probably bout 3500cals

Today Im planning on doing a 6km jog with sprints incorporated followed by a 30min weights session then if I have enough steam left a yoga sess....I better get out there soon as its warming up really fast.

Ciao for now lovefreexo

Whhhattttt....boohooo *sniff* 12 mangos, that would cost me $30 here, non organgic!

Enjoy Free, enjoy...Doing great babe, love reading your journal...eating simply is the way to go, I hardly make any gourmet raw, really only for orders or clintons...simply is best.

How do you know when you have good digestion...what are the signs?

Love ya

Aww thanks heaps Berry :-)
Yep I agree eating simply is the key, nature designed certain food to compliment our physiology and for it to be eaten as is & mainly mono but we like to complicate things and make it harder than it has to be! I can imagine it being very challenging with your family and chefing skills but you can do it and it sounds as though you are! Well done babe, it will be a consistent effort that really pays off in the end:-)

Ways I can tell my digestion is optimal....
1.  I used to have to use loads of toilet paper after #2, now its pretty much nothing.(well u asked!)
2.  No gurgling,gas,bloating,reflux
3.  Transit time is less than 24hrs because theres no fat holdin' up the works, & exercise improves this & hydration levels
4.  I don't have any cravings because I absorb & assimilate my sugar via mono-meals
5.  I believe the intestines & digestion play a big part in skin quality, my skin is the best its ever been by far
6.  I have a complete elimination everytime I go via squatting

May come up with more...sorry you asked yet?! ;-P

LOL...no I am glad I asked  laugh...it all helps my learning and understanding, all towards my own personal growth and health, for your honesty and openess I am very grateful.  heart heart

A while ago I said in my journal "I dont want to be 100% raw", well that was just cos I was having a bad day and struggling with cooking different meals for the family and work,...yep it is hard, very hard...I used that excuse to try and trick myself into being raw, reverse psychology kinda...make sense?! noticed my body instinctively goes back to simple whole ripe organic foods

Your digestion sounds great, perfect as you say, looking forward to when I can experience the same. Yesterday I took full length naked pics of myself...aint no hiding from the truth, the mirror dont lie, looking at them now from a different perspecive...it is REAL motivation to work hard and play hard. I am going to look at them when I feel tempted to binge on cooked...and then look at your pics to remind myself, I can get there too.

Much love to you butterfly

Berry thats great using reverse psychology, whatever works right? Raw is really only as hard as we make it.
My digestion is great, for years I suffered from extremely embarassing gas, bloating and belching, as i said in my interview with New Veg I couldn't even sleep over my boyfriends house because my gas was just shocking!  So having such amazing digestion now is very exciting, theres no way I would jeopordise this level of health for some cooked food high.

Well done on taking the full length photos!  Its so important to tell ourselves the truth, put it out there....I think one of the first steps in gaining health and losing weight is accepting and loving ourselves NOW and not constantly living in the past at how we USED to be (i was famous for this) or in the future...."I will be happy when I get to size...." The happier we are now & the more we give, the more positive results we bring into our lives.

I am so flattered that you will look at my photos as inspiration, thats exactly what i put them up for, to show lowfat raw vegan really works and makes you feel amazing!Keep me posted on your progress and if you need any help:-)

Hey Sparkles! Wow thanks, what an inspiring compliment! Lovefreexo

Oh yumo - free mangos!

If anyone is interested in assuming a better position for going to the loo and didn't want to squat on the seat, try having a step-stool in your bathroom that you can move in front of the loo when doing a bm to put your feet up on.  Another thing that can feel good is to raise your hands above your head and imagine you are very gently pulling on a rope there.  It should not feel like straining at all.  If ever you feel like you are not quite done, or to stimulate the motion, there is a point about halfway between the navel and the hip and stimulating that with a little finger pressure in a small circular clockwise direction can help.

Enjoy your day!

I bought two square buckets and put them upside down and I rest my feet on them. IN that way it is likesquatting and it has the right positioning that the body was meant to be when going to the toilet.

I have a squat stool that fits around the sides of the toilet cistern, bought it from an Aussie firm alas cannot remember names etc as I've had it for years, sooo believe in the squatting makes all the difference
