Rudolph, I love, love the internet cycling idea. I feel that when we are moving , our brains are oxygenated and our nervous system energised. When I was working at a desk, I would try to leave every hour and do 10 mins of stair running. I felt a bit guilty about it, kinda looking over my shoulder to make sure no one noticed but I swear it made me more productive.
Yesterday, I made it to  15 500 steps, including set of 100 squats, 20 squat lunges on each side.

Getting more organised with my strength exercises and think my goals for these are:
push ups 3 x20
squats 100
abs 3x30
squat lunges 2x20(each leg)
Also I plan for steps to be 15 000 per day, I had originally said 20 000, but am finding this a little difficult despite running around madly all day. I think the day I did 22 000 was an exception.
Also plan to include at least 10 mins of exercise bike.
So-off for my run.

Howdy all :-)

Yesterday.....

AM:  3.5km run followed by 1/2hr yoga

PM:  cycled 35kms to a 5+km cross country race in 37deg heat! Still finding my running legs again. Felt a touch stifled at times by the heat but visualised the snow and got through it!  I felt great because I passed a couple of rather fit looking dudes but then my false self came in and started saying 'Hey but he's probably injured or had a knee reconstruction....' I muffled out the voice with my old mantra 'I love this run with all my heart...' over and over again, it really worked.  I find this technique really powerful and effective in shifting my focus.

Total kms on bike 70
Running kms -  Bout 9kms

The running race was great because it is all fitness levels and it seems like the whole of Darwin is there! A very good vibe and fortunately this time there was no snag-a-thon at the end.  We have been pushing for a fruit option because there are a few vego's there too.

Road home in the dark on the Stuart Hwy, always a fun adventure to partake in! I really feel like I grow a lot everytime I get on the Hwy, great contrast and now I appreciate quieter roads alot more.

Well done everyone on your progress, I really love reading all your entries xx

I am still in on this...but just waiting to get over this silly chest infection...the moment I try power walking, exurstion exercises...I cant breathe and cough till I drop!

Just trying to keep active by playing with kiddies, dancing around the house doing home duties and working on digging in my garden.

Soon enough I will posting all about my exercise adventures.

14 km walk so far, just easy fitness type of walk in 130 minutes (actually it was because I needed to drop the car to service and picked it up.)

So sleepy me, am working very hard. 14 500 steps today, including 40 min forest run, 10 mins cycling- think I've done the required sets of strength stuff. Muscles are sore. I think I'm ready for a rest day-this will be Saturday-I have planned to do my yoga on the rest day.

Free, your running yesterday was impressive. I like your positive mantra. I like to smile when I'm running, makes it very blissful.
Berry, hope you get better soon. Looking after kids and doing the housework is a workout in itself.

Actually, I went biking with the kiddies today...that WAS a workout, my bum on the bike, and two kiddies in the trailer, plus a box of organics...felt breathless and dizzy going uphill, just cos lungs are blocked from yukkies. But was great to be outdoors and spending time with kiddies. Bluebelle actually motivated me, at one point I was feeling light headed and she said "You can do it mummy, it is so good for us will make us fit and strong"...Beautiful darling.

Made it to 14 000 steps today, including 45 min run. The rest seem to have come from shopping for new clothes for my daughter. Have done one set of all strength exercises.

Freelea do you eat greens?  Or are you taking advantage of the fresh produce at the moment at loading up on mangoes.  Don't you feel like you need the balance of the greens?

Yes love greens Annette, can't get any real quality fresh organic greens although Coles is looking good for organic spinach.  I feel great and totally balance on just fruit but I wouldn't recommend it long term.  Greens are vital, luv em :-)

Up nice and early this morning for a 6.3km jog, much much better than 9am as the heat is quite intense.
Felt fairly strong the whole way but my false self was whingeing and telling me to stop, i replaced this voice with a mantra I have used for years.."I love this run with all my heart" and soldiered on and celebrated at the end! Literally with 10kgs of melon.

Jumped the fence next door and grabbed a ripe jackfruit, its massive! That will be dinner in a few days.

Today I have had:

*10kgs+ of watermelon, edible portion a lot less

*2 mangoes

*3banana & water smoothie.

*Now eyeing off the rest of my mangoes..

I was scheduled to do yoga today and I really feel like my body needed it but I went for a 15km bike ride instead, must be more serious about doing yoga....maybe I will attach pleasure...

Yoga benefits...
-increased flexibility
-a feeling of oneness between body and mind and my surroundings
-strength building, a great workoout!
-I want to build more muscle & I have proven in the past that yoga is very good for this.
-Great way to bring me to the present moment
-Fantastic lymph pump because of the deep diaphramic breathing
-I love yoga-devotees bodies & how my body looks when I pratice regular yoga
-It helps me become a more peaceful present person
-It is essential to lengthen the muscles if Im going to do exercises like weights that shorten the muscle.

Hi FreeleaRaw,

You seem to talk like my Tony Robbins audiobooks sometimes, is that a coincidence or are you an avid listener/reader?
