About 2 weeks ago I had two large mercury fillings removed, and in november im booked in to have the last 4 taken out.
I cant wait to be mercury free! i believe that its casued my body a number of health issues.

Im going to start working on detoxing the mercury out of my system once they have all been removed, so will give you updates on how it all goes.

Has anyone else had their fillings removed? if so, are you feeling a difference?

i took zeolite after having allot of my mercury fillings out, still got a few more to go and i want to get my root canal teeth removed(one done one to go) and replaced with implants... i bought some non mlm zeolite last month cause a friend of mine trialed it and said it took allot of heavy metals out quite quickly(had queen bloods done) and was allot cheaper too..

i heard chlorrella is good for metal detox too

cori is great for helping move heavy metals...esp green veg juice...with lots of spinach and greens and celery etc....

make sure the dentist is using a rubber dam    to help protect you from the mercury coming out....

Yep, Ive been super careful (i like to say careful when its really been more "paranoid" lol) about getting the mercury taken out in a safe manner. I made sure there's a oxygen mask over my nose, and water on the drill so there's no smoke / dust and also the rubber dam Wink all sorted!  laugh

I got mine out about 10 years ago and noticed a change immediately. My moods lifted quite a lot - I was pleasantly surprised.

I also took homoeopathics to detox my body. Because it was a while ago I can't remember what they were, but if you're interested in that route, any good homoeopath with be able to help you out. I do wish I had've known about green juices though, they would have been perfect. Also, seaweed is supposed to pull out heavy metals from the body so maybe eats lots of them.

Congratulations! It's not cheap but it's worth it.

Can anyone recommend a dentist in Adelaide (preferrable inner north eastern suburbs) that has knowledge of safely removing mercury fillings? My husband has many of them and is in need of more fillings. He's due for a dentist checkup, but we don't have a regular dentist as we have not been to one since being married (3.5 years, naughty I know!).

There was an interview on Raw Vegan Radio, a while back... an expert specialising in amalgum removal. He said, from memory, that there are very few qualified dentists able to do this safely.. all in the US. They're supposed to be removed in a particular order, and not all at once. Some people have had some really adverse effects. Also, he said the plastic implants and porcelain fillings are to be not much better.. based on aluminum. Best is to extract. The Gerson Institute concurs with this view.. they wont remove mercury.. they just pull the whole tooth out.

DISCLAIMER
I have no idea of the veracity of this information, and disavow myself of it...lol. I just remember it being a fascinating interview, and thought it worth mentioning.

The concerns of how to remove it safely are mainly concerns when you do one to 3 filings at a time, leaving other amalgam filings in the mouth.  The metal has a bit of an electric circuit going on which does settle down when your filings are stable, it's when the circuit is changed by filings being removed (or added) that more mercury is released.  The skilled bit is to know what order to take the filings out in, top and bottom, OR get them all taken out on the one day. I think they're meant to take one out from the top and then the one out from the bottom or next to it to, they're not meant to take one out surrounded by other filings on all sides.
Taking amalgam filings out that aren't close to another amalgam filing (top and bottom) is relatively safe compared to surrounded filings (you need all the uncomfortable bits like dams to stop the dust etc while it is being taken out, but once it is out that's it)

I've seen it discussed elsewhere that Thailand is a great place to get your filings done and incredibly cheap, admitted this was from Americans where private healthcare for dental is not common, but if anyone has a lot of amalgam and wants a holiday in Thailand, might be worth investigating.....

Brilliant info guys thanks sooo much Smiley
A friend of mine is going to thailand to get his out, he has about 6 or 7 to have removed and evidently its really cheap and you stay at a spa for 2 weeks or so and have detox herbals and massages each day etc, and it all ends up being cheaper than it would be having it done here, plus you get a mini holiday!
Cant wait to get my remaining 3 out in November...

If anyone doubts that amalgam filings are that much of a concern, the FDA has recently (Jun 08) changed their website to say it is a concern.... http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/consumer/amalgams.html You know it's serious once the FDA says it might be an issue Smiley
