Neet - maybe it's time to walk gently toward the light, and enter Vitamix nirvana?

Yikes!  You can't have a blender pack it in mid-smoothie.  Crikey.

Ah, it must be Thai basil, which is a deep purple.  I might pop some in my basket on Saturday.

Mango, spinach and 4 frozen nanas. Its really great. My blender is really doing a good job. Its a Molyineux sp? with a glass goblet. Tis wonderful!

I do have some wonderful red pears in the fridge that will replace the mangoes now the season has ended.

Sometimes called 'sacred basil'. I reckon a vitamix is one of the best investments you can make for your health.

Yesterday my tummy hurt all day and nothing helped. Last night before I went to bed I had a green smoothie and a little while later, my tummy felt fine. By the time I went to bed all the pain had gone. This morning I was back to my old self and my breath was a lot better too.

Ahhh, the wonders of the gs!

what's new in the life of a green smoothie gal today...

let's see-nothing terribly new really...just enthralled by the magic of greens as always..

this morning i whipped up a humungus gs...

8 frozen bananas
small bunch of grapes
1 mango
1.5 blender jugs of mixed greens-dark green lettuce,baby spinach,rocket,chard..
1 tsp of coconut oil

i think it turned out to be around 3 litres worth..still a little left in fridge..but after eating custard apple, and grapes and couple figs..and some raw soup..i think i will leave it for tonight.. rolleyes

my goodness it was amazing...took my scuba tank along with me today...it is so sustaining and cold and wonderful..and pumps such vitality and strength into the body...gosh i think i'll just hook up a drip so it goes straight into my cells...on the other hand i know i would miss the beautiful taste...

*sigh...off to bed now...sorry joss,no time to play now...up early in the morning to do workout...and then i still run late for work...heh heh...it's the whole 5 minute thing...always seem to be 5 mins behind the time i should arrive...interesting..or not rolleyes

will be up at 5.30am so reackon you can forgive me..i hope.. :wub:gotta get my mojo on so i can do my workout before i start my day...

Joss - Neet is great with the camoflauge gear to collect greens - one word, and she can be on her way.....

My big confession which I will hide here on this thread is that late last night (when the RP forum crashed and wouldn't let me in again  huh) I heard the reports of Cyclone Larry, and the loss of bananas.

I immediately exclaimed, out loud, eek - banana shortage!!!!

And then, I suddenly thought about people.  Thankfully, no loss of life - and I felt so terrible that my first thought was of the loss of bananas.  I told a few people at work about this today, and nobody threw anything at me, so I guess I'm not that evil.

My gs today was a beauty.  I had a bunch of chinese broccoli (leaves only) and two frozen bananas and two sweet juicy peaches.

My first glass just smelled of chlorophyll (thank you dictionary.com).  Now, I love wheatgrass juice, but it's 30ml of strong chlorophyll, and this was 1.5 litres!  I drank the first big glass without chewing, just straight swallow.

The rest went with me to work.  By that time, either the smell had subsided, or my body was used to it.  By the time I was half way through my container, my body was hip hooraying all over the place.

This is a mighty mighty GREEN drink.  Not for the faint hearted, but if you really really want greens, need greens - I can recommend chinese broccoli.  But beware, go to the bathroom mirror and smile.  Laugh heartily at your green speckled tooths, and then rinse!

miss g

p.s. You could always just add a few leaves of chinese broccoli to some sweeter/milder green like baby spinach or lettuce.  I'm kind of 'boots n all' about my greens.
