That rarely occurs in society.

I was just browsing thru posts and found for eg the black pepper post by the lovely MG.

We had sheryl (illl spell ur name right this time lol, i typed it wrong somewhere on recent post Tongue) and merridy sayin how they liked black pepper along with MG. Jen and Alegne used it for external purposes. Then Joss and Neet replied with their own choice of not using pepper.

The thing is, on this forum we all have our styles and idea all based on the raw idea, but no-one gets on their soapbox, demeans or claims that what they are doing is the right way and only way to do things. Even if its a confession to some cooked food etc, still theres support, understanding and open-mindness.

Theres not many places around that you can come, vent, celebrate, dicuss or question and not feel as if your going to get criticised or more.

Just thought i would share that, cos its a very cool thing...

Yea, well lets all try and keep it this way Smiley

Hey its ok, u dont have to eat ur carrots MG. Unless u cant see in the dark?  cheesy

The thing is, i only chose that name cos i thought it sounded cool cos it meant 2 things. But carrots arent my fav thing in the world. So whatta reckon. Name change? Should do a poll like the recipe post Tongue

I really dig bananas, grapes and persimmons. And now, cacao. 'Bananarama', 'Goddess Grape' (then i sound on myself Tongue) 'Persimmon powergirl' (thats kinda long) then theres the new name suggested by Blu Nelly 'chocomite'. If anyones got suggestions, hit me wit them :D

no one can hurt us inside, but ourselves.

no offence is given, if none is taken.

an objection is a request for more information.

a travel brochure likes to 'rant and rave' about the destination it describes. to help people looking for a holiday destination, to  decide if thats what they want.

i like to 'rant and rave' about my successes on raw to give people whom are on the fence, some information to help them jump in. a living example or  a referrence point, a possible path, a tool to extract more life with, a magic carpet ride, an adventure ...

its not my way.

its natures way.

and i enjoy being a salesperson for nature.

for nature holds all the beauty, vitality, clarity, power, bliss, intensity....................

Hey it's like "chitty bang bang" we raw fooders know the better lifestyle & we are all aiming to achieve the serendipity of 'raw', it's certainly my aim but nowadays I don't beat myself up if I lapse - sometimes like this morning I need a coffee, especially as my hubby who is Mayor of our town received a very abusive 'phone call, he is not a deity. rolleyes

Miss Bliss, do you visit Santos Health store in Bryon Bay I hope I have the name correct, I believe it once was an old bank?
How I wish we had something like that here locally, anyway I can always order online eh!  cool

i had just drank 2 litres of cane juice in 10 minutes. so i was done for the morning. but i did get a free chart on how organic food has more minerals in it. i will laminate it and stick it in my mates organic shop in adelaide.

at the byron market a man offered me a jakfruit 'on sale ' for 100$. since im used to getting bigger ones off the tree for free up north , i was a bit reluctant. and ended up getting one for 35$ down the road a few hours later.

which, at lunchtime, got blended with sugar cane juice and fresh coconut water. the high fat content of the jakfruit makes for a real smooth lush pudding/thickshake.

yesterday we got 2 10kg plus boxes of certified organic lady fingers for 5$ a box.

im making 3kg bowls of banana ice cream with them.

its a tough job, but someone's gotta eat it!

Hi Beautiful Sea....

I am fortunate to have so many wonderful healthfood store options all around me...

Santos in Byron Bay and Santos in Mullumbimby.  As well as Foundies in Byron.  And then there is a fantastic healthfood store, carrying everything you could possibly want in Brunswick Heads.

Today, in Brunswick Heads, I finally found some DULSE leaf (not flakes!), I love dulse more so than any other seaplant...it tastes fresh and raw too.....Sheryl, have you ever found good sources of raw dulse leaves?

And then just a hop and skip up the coast a little further north of here is a wonderful store with the intriquing name of Raw Pleasure!!!  The store keepers, are the most amazingly genuine, caring, compassionate and truly alive people, one could ever meet.......they also seem to have a magical ability to make the shop appear, not only all over Australia, but also magically appear in homes and businesses, cafes etc worldwide!!!!

Loving the 2L bottles of Sugar Cane Juice with Lime....

Cee, your evening meal sounds lush, mind if I come by, I promise I will bring some Sugar Cane Juice from todays market....

Miss Bliss - so sorry we missed you today at the market. We were long gone by the time you got there. I had to run home to take over phones from Piers who is ever so busy working on the next newsletter! Harley leaves Monday - let us know if you're available sometime this weekend - we are around except for Saturday at the Brisbane picnic!

I heard you are getting a gift of olives from a beautifullady down south (Neet!). Let me know if you still want the olives you emailed about earlier. I can send nori tomorrow too! Or you can drop by for another meal and see Harley one last time this visit!

Cheers,
Sheryl

Hey Beautiful Sheryl!
Sorry to have missed you too!  Next time we can intoxicate ourselves on the wonderfully sweet sugar cane juice, in the byron sun.

Yay, tis true, I figured if I met you today, and picked up the tasty treats from you, it would tie me over until the wonderful gift, from way down south, arrived, next week!!!  THANKS BEAUTIFUL SIS JANITA!!!!  But for now, I think it would be best, if you keep them, and I will see you probably someday soonish.  I will see what I can do.  I will pm you .....tonight or tomorrow

Joss, I find I can get dulse all the time in Perth, in both flakes and sheets/layers that Im guessing is the same as the leaves u r talking about?

I go to Manna Wholefoods in Freo, or Earth Market in Subiaco.  Heaps of health food stores Ive come across have it too.

I can bring some to the next picnic for you if I find some?  If its not the 'leaf' type that u r after, i can just keep it.
