Whoa Brett I soooo agree our friends are spoilt, we all make choices eh!
Did you grow the wheatgrass great looking batch, I've never had any luck, what are your suggestions to growing such a good crop?
Lovely Rawgreenneet. are you going to be close to Deniliquin or will I be away as you travel north, I would willingly make you a green guzzler or a fruit smoothie or even a herbal tea, you , as all here on the forum are more than welcome to visit my home. kiss
I've fallen off the raw wagon yet again - had a bad bad session at gym this a.m. - one of my so called oldest friends has been letting me down badly of recent times, maybe it's menopause time for her, I've taken this into consideration but blimey the mood swings, anyway met Hubby for a cuppa & ended up eating what he could'nt finish re his fetticini( sorry spelling?). So to make amends to self visited local gem shop & purchased a blue tiger eye, good for anxiety & stress have it on my person as I post.
Sorry I guess I needed to rant....... huh

Heya Cee,

Yep cacao nibs are kinda bitter arent they. Ive been making a fruit salad, sprinkling them on top and then drizzling agave nectar on top. Agave sweetens it to chocolate. I really love the cacao powder mixed wit agave, mmm...Hey im fallin off the wagon and clambering back on again all the time, its all good. Come and rant here, we likes it  cheesy

And im still makin kickass nori wraps too, im gonna get thru this 50pk in now time!

Sounds like a nice trip Neet. My bdays in june, the big 2-1. Im tossing around ideas, i was thinkin of just goin to adelaide for the wkd, but a trip to brisbane and maybe to see sheryl and piers would rock, big time Smiley But im thinkin if i cant get there in june, i would love to visit sometime later this year :D

Yea toothsoap i wanna try...

Hey Joss, blows me away the time diff between us here in SA and u over in WA during daylight savings!

Suggest they contact us and start carrying Raw Pleasure products!

..will do

My wheatgrass story is a long ongoing saga.. the crop in the picture is an outdoor crop. I'm currently planning to start an indoor tray system.

Hah yea MG, sounds EXACTLY like me!!!

Im the onlooker, the one that kinda hangs back. This way of communicating is heaps easier and easier to be more confident.

Yeep the D&Ms are more my kinda thing too.

Yea its all about being comfortable with you and how you are, alot i gotta work on in that area yet Tongue

Sometimes there are ppl i feel i can be more comfortable with straight away, they are cool times!

See u in the corner MG!!  cheesy

Piers just said something very insightful. That often what you're describing is a symptom of people living a non mainstream life! I bet if you put us all in a room together everyone would be chatting, smiling and having great fun late into the night... oh... we'd also all be running to the kitchen to whip up tasty delights!

It feels great to connect with people that have similar interests. That's why the picnics and raw food events around Australia are so very important.

I would have classed myself as shy years ago. I rehearsed everything in my head many times before I talked. I avoided social occasions. And more. Then one day I had this massive breakthrough. For me I realized how insane it was to even think people were watching and thinking about me all the time (I really htought they were, and constantly corrected my actions based on what I thought other people thought of me), and that trying to imagine specifically what they were thinking about me was just silly! I don't know exactly what it was that changed, but it was like a dam opened up, and my joy just came flooding out! I started living for me, experiencing all the joys of life and sharing them with people around me (even strangers) and am just loving how I live life now.

In fact it was after one of those moments I decdided to approach a strange but exciting Australian man at the Palm Springs airport... and we all know where that led!

Smiling alot!

Ah yea Sheryl! Well said Piers!

Aw great story too Sheryl, being ur true beautiful self. Im always what ppl think of me, if i said the wrong thing and then add a million and one etc's to that. Sometimes i can be free and be me, sometimes not. I just have to make sure i have less of the latter!

great true story sheryl!

i used to walk around numb on numbing foods.

i truly feel that rawfoods and a positive mental attitude that focuses on what we want ,can give us the lifeforce to instill massive changes in our lives for the better.

in the past i felt shy or embarrased talking to strangers.
now, i can talk to ANYONE , ANYTIME. its such a laugh!! you never know who your going to meet or discover. even if your overseas and dont speak their language!

i think the food we eat in society has been based around numbing people so they dont have the energy or desire to speak up or ask questions.

a classic example is alcohol. sure it relaxes us for a bit, but soon we are talking alot, with out really saying anything.

then as time goes by, we are oblivious to whats going on , as we are so numbed , from the booze.

our standards drop, we eat crap , or smoke, or crash out on the gutter or throw up on ourselves or the person's shoes next to us.
we wake up the next day feeling real average.

but its so accepted, that we can just say "man, i had a really big night!" and be proud of our self abuse. and others will smile and slap ya on the back 'n' say "how ya feel'n big fella??!!"

"man , when ya smashed ya car, through ya lounge room window, we cracked up!!"

"your a legend!"

"robbo is still in hospital, but the doctors said he will be out tommorrow"

"lucky , cos in a couple of days, we got bazza's going away party"

"and we got 7 kegs!!"

"its gonna be a big night!!!"

i used to use alcohol as an ice breaker.

but i havent drunk for almost 5 years. and now i know if im REALLY having a good time. and if im not, ive got the ability to steer myself in the direction, of a good time.

ive seen this with a lot of my mates that are into rawfoods. ive seen stutters and lack of self confidence get smashed apart on raw.

myself, i always dreamed of speaking out about animal rights or getting a job in a bike shop. now im the best seller in my store, which is the biggest bike shop in the southern hemisphere. not cos i talk bs, but cos bikes are my passion and the rawpower gives the vitality and clarity to express my enthusiasm towards a product without being held back by cooked food claggness.

same with the radio shows i do now and then, or public speaking, either at a health seminars or at the counter of mcdonalds or kfc handing out pamphlets.

i remember when i was getting off cooked foods, i made sure i only ate them when i was by myself. as i felt so numb , i didnt feel i could communicate to my best. then i realised that i am definitely missing out on maximum fun and experiences etc!, if i cant communicate how i want to !

when i realised that, cooked foods were on the endangered list for me.

ive gone from shy 'n' quiet to loud , brash , *y and outspoken.

i relish opportunities to speak in public now.

i truly feel rawfoods changes your vibration to how it naturally is meant to be.

cooked food world is like: ask no questions, and get some lies.

rawfood world is like: ask questions and get hi' fives!
