Ah, well, ive put off journalling for a long time now, thinkin that it mite lock me into some 100% raw contract Tongue

But i think its the next stage ive gotta take, after the lil sick/hospital incident. Take charge of myself and my heath. Not half doing things, ah a lil of this and that wont hurt etc. Commitment. Somethin i had bucketloads of a yr or so ago, then lost.

And if there's something up with my liver, its gotta be the best thing for it.

So 2moro, sat 11th of march i will embark on a 3 wk 100% raw journey. 3 wks? I stole that from FP Smiley See where im at, at the end of the 3 wks...

Ive just browsed sergeant boo yows online bootcamp from jingee and storm.

Somethings id like to implement in these 3 wks...

1. 100% raw
2. Excercise of some form daily.
3. Put your stomach muscles into all the movements you make, from gestures to walking to picking something up. Whenever you move, move from your center. This will help you to be centered and more focused in everything you do.
4. Give thanks for whatever you eat today. Enjoy it. Know that it is a gift to you because you are loved and cared for. Be thankful for who you are, for your body, the amazing and powerful life machine you've been blessed with!
5. And meditate daily.

No-one has to reply or post anythin on here if its uninteresting 2 u, i just hope it helps me get my butt into gear, ill visit it daily to check my 5 goals  smiley

You go 21cg!

There is nothing even REMOTELY uninteresting in your 5 goals.  They are beautiful.  Especially goals 3 & 4.  They are particularly awesome.

If you need super dooper inspiration, maybe read back over some of Harley's posts - he has a knack for distilling information and giving it a certain Batman KAPOW!

Stay focused.  Stay on track.  And if you meander a little, just work your way back.  Be gentle with yourself.

We'll all be right here.

Encourage, encourage, support, support... Go for it. While going 100%, do some detox stimulation, like, body brushing, breathing exercises (can combine with meditation), saunas, massages, lots of juuces, plenty of water, weight bearing exercise. Go for it 21CG

you are a gorgeous inspiring little coconut(mmm) 21cgal...i am so excited for you,it is a wonderful step that you have taken...deep breath and plunge straight into it...like icy cold waters on a sunwarmed body...you soon adapt to it,and you feel so wonderful you wonder what the hell you were doing all that time...eating that cooked ewww!

love you girl...your feisty and tenacious the perfect combo for success on your raw journey..and you are never alone,we are all here for you 24/7...and like the beautiful spirit miss g said..be gentle with yourself, there is a learning curve at every curve i think... rolleyes

but as harls says,'if you keep doing what you're doing you keep getting what you're getting..."

Well day one hey...

Lets see, yep i ate 100% raw.

Went for a slow walk, dont feel like moving too much yet.

What was i thinkin wit goal 3? Thats where all my pain is, stomach, torso etc, i leave that goal for when i CAN do it Tongue

I did take a step back and was a lil more thankful for the food 2day.

Didnt meditate.

Still not feelin crash hot, anything with too much flavour actually makes me feel sick and i cant eat much at one time. Back to the doc's on tues, hope its nothing serious...

Ah the 1st of april is the end of the 3 wks, watta day to end it Smiley

Round 2, fight...

Yep keepin the raw thing, doin the gentle exercise, stomach doesnt feel so uncomfortable and tight, which is helpin with the pain in the back, belly etc.

Why is it that when ur eating cooked ur thinkin 'i would feel so much better on raw' but when ur doin raw its all 'ah just a plate of so-and-so cooked would hit the spot' ah, i do not no my friends.

If the craving got that bad, id give in, but till i have the willpower not to, ill keep chuggin...

@1 carrot girl you are wonferful. I am sorry that i completely missed this post. Now try not to be too tough with yourself. Raw is for life and you have plenty of time ahead of you.

Try gentle stretching exercises today. Nothing to strenuous, just move slowly and you will still be exercising.

Cooked foods are an addiction and they are really not as good as we think they are. What our body craves is the salt and other condiments. See if you can echo these with raw versions. jen brought a great dish to the picnic on Sunday that really took raw to a new level. I did not get out to look for your book today, but I will tomorrow. Promise.

Day 3

Raw was hlf the day, cooked was the other hlf...

By nature im an extreme person with an inpatient nature, not all the time, i try and balance those unhealthy traits with more workable/productive ones. So if the raw ideas in my head, and the better feeling, and the better lookin body etc etc then i want it NOW. Which sounds like the perfect personality to go 100% raw easily. But ive seemed to manage to develop and grow a very unco-operative devil on my shoulder thats makin it hard.

Ive had the willpower to do some stupid things in my life, then i exhausted that willpower on these paths that had deadends. So i loosened up to the point where my willpower is down to mortal power. Which is annoying cos it was superman willpower i had before. Its a sleeping giant i realise, i just need to harness it and wake it up again Tongue

What was that dish Jen made Joss?

Yea gentle strectches they shall be on the menu for day 4...

We all have little set back on the road to raw. The more raw food you have the better it will be for you.  Remenber what M'iggles said 'be gentle with yourself".

Tomorrow is a new day, so start the day as if you were 100% raw.

It was pad thai and it was delicious. She made it with mung bean sprouts. I will send you the recipe later.

Hi 21CarrotGirl!

It's all part of the journey... just keep striving to be closer to where you want to be, and one day it will happen with ease.

Personally I've had times that I have slipped back onto cooked food... the funny thing is at those times I'm searching for something; a taste I remember, and I just don't find it. Sooner or later I have made the decision to be raw after those moments (sometimes weeks long) and feel so much better after. It usually takes about 3-4 days of willpower, then I'm back feeling that raw is the best and only way to go. Without a doubt I feel better on raw. My energy is higher, my attitude sparkles.

Keeping the convenience factor of raw is high. That could mean a big bowl of fruit for you, or having salad and dressing premade in the fridge, or carrying some fruit/carrot stick/raw fudge in your bag when you're out. Shazzie recommends a raw snack bag to be carried everywhere in case people get hungry, and have no access to good food. I like that. For me it's usually moments where I'm cranky, hungry and not feeling particularly good that I go back to cooked. They are all learning experiences though, and an opportunity to see where we still have some changes to make. Often people use food as a way to change how they feel (hense going back to cooked on low emotional moments). Finding new ways to deal with things like that just makes us stronger.

I think what you're doing is amazing, and thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! THANK YOU!

Talk to you more later!
