ill be back on the 18th of october, but if i can get out of wrk and to the picnic neet, ill be there!

im def a sponge atm!

last nite was a bit brief so ill make the most of this internet access and put down what ive done...

came in wed arvo and met teacher, hung out a bit in town and got a feel for the place, in kuta.
then 2 hr drive out to lalanglingah village into a sublime traditional balinese bungalow resort.

thurs introduced to the bambu kuning form (traditional form of spiritual martial arts used for healing etc) met our beautiful balinese teacher paknyuomen.

friday trained in morning and evening.

sat trained in morning then left in arvo for another 2 hr drive to singarajah for the full moon initiation with other locals. did mantras, had yellow training shirt and belt blessed, met the founder of bambu kuning.

sun water and white rice fast. i just did water, and it was hard! my ozzie teacher and my local friend are doin 3 day fasts, today is their last day and its tough going. if im goin to continue with this i think ill stick at level 3, the fasts are still on one day then! they go up to 5-7 days and i dnt think i could do that on stodgy rice...

mon trained in morning, trainings are on the black sand beach, surrounded with crashing waves. another couple of hr drive to where we are staying, villa lumbung a little way out of seminyak.

today and half of 2moro just bumming around and relaxing!

wed, thurs, fri, sat back at gajah mina and the village, training, test day sunday then 3 days after that just some more relaxing then go home...

talk to u all soon

bali blew my mind with its culture, fruits and people, ill be going back for sure...

and one of my many highlights was inspecting an unknown waterfall sittin in a bungalow whilst a elderly village played us his bamboo flute then proceeded to hack open to fresh durian...what a way to experience that fruit for the first time, outta this world!

Bali Bagus!

Welcome back cheeky chops.   cheesy

Arthur's one step ahead of me and is working on chocolate biscuits (not bombs, egad!)

But it is all Blue Nelly's fault (sorry Nic  kiss) - she made the BEST raw chocolate topped choc biscuits, and with nothing but a (gossamer) wing and a prayer, I am trying to recreate them.

If things go awry, I shall just lather them in raw chocolate, and we'll never know the difference. Wink

I loved your durian eating experience - I actually saw it vividly, and almost heard the flute.  I love those waterfalls where you can actually climb/crawl into the space behind the water.  Swoon.

Lovely to have you back.

:wub:welcome home 21CG, sounds like a divine time...one of my best memories whilst bushwalking involved sitting atop a waterfall watching two eagles scoar & dip like air aerobics, this experience took place in Victoria.
