You're about to acquaint yourself with the vibrant flavors and miraculous nutrition of plant life in a way you never have before.

From the Critics

"Juliano is the toast of Hollywood, somewhere between a chef and a guru. The food is spectacular, lush, colorful and tactile, heÆs more than a chef, heÆs an inspiration."
-- Spin

"Food fads come and go, Pan Asian, Haute Southern, Pacific Rim fusion, but the latest dining trends is actually the oldest: eating food raw."
-- USA Today

Juliano is such a great character. The photo's of food in this book look mouth-watering, and the photo's of Juliano himself are amusing! He certainly looks like he loves life, and doesnt care what people think of him - crop-top and sandals no less. The recipes are quite complex, and for a lot of them you have to flick to another part of the book to pre-make 1 or 2 other things before you make your meal. He uses a dehydrator for a lot of the recipes, so for those people without one, I probably wouldn't buy this book. It isnt the kind of book that you pick up half an hour before dinner time and make something. You need to prepare yourself a few days before, get the dehydrator going, then assemble all the parts. He does have a few smaller, shorter simple recipes, but as an overall picture of the book, it is complex, but gormet raw at its best.
