Both size B (before) and Size A (after vaginal birth or over 30) are now in stock. The Keeper Menstrual Cup is a product that could change your life for the better. Bulky pads and tampons are no longer necessary if used as directed. (Read about some of the problems with tampons that are chemically treated.) The female scientists of Biosphere 2 chose The Keeper as their form of feminine hygiene while in their enclosed environment in Arizona in 1992. Here's how it works: The Keeper is a natural gum rubber cup - similar to the material that is used in baby bottle nipples - that is worn internally, holding (instead of absorbing) monthly menstrual flow and does not contain animal byproducts! The cup can even be worn safely overnight. To insert the cup, you first hold the cup between your fingers and insert. The cup forms a seal which keeps fluid inside the cup. It will not absorb or disrupt your natural vaginal moisture. It is environmentally friendly to the earth and to yourself! No paper products to throw away month after month. The cup holds one ounce of menstrual flow. (An average woman's entire monthly flow is about 2 to 4 ounces, or so they say!) And it's so comfortable - you need to make sure not to forget you're wearing it! To remove it you simply pinch the bottom of the cup to release the seal, then bear down gently with your pelvic muscles to help move it downward. Remove slowly, slightly tilting the cup, and empty the contents into the toilet. Rinse or wipe and you're ready to reinsert. Between cycles you should wash The Keeper sufficiently with warm water and a mild antibacterial soap or a mild vinegar and water solution. (Do not boil or use harsh chemicals) Many women find that The Keeper is a very effective solution for protection against that annoying problem - leakage. They use it alone as their sole form of feminine hygiene. Once you try it, you'll learn how often you need to empty it. If you are in a situation where that isn't going to be possible for awhile, you may find that you can get by with just an added panty liner on your heaviest days to compensate for slight leakage if leakage should occur. It is recommended that you use some extra protection (such as a washable cotton panty liner or mini pad) when you are first trying out The Keeper until you learn when you'll need to empty your cup. Once you get use to using The Keeper, you'll know what you personally require. If you have ever had vaginal child birth, order style "A" (for "After" vaginal child birth). If you have had cesarean births only, or no child births, order style "B" (for "Before" vaginal child birth). Style "A" is slightly larger in diameter and the rubber is slightly softer than that of style "B". If you are still not sure which style (size) you need, see the average size question on The Keeper FAQ. Besides its comfort and high-level protection, The Keeper is economical. The Keeper has a life expectancy of at least 10 years if maintained properly and used as directed. That makes The Keeper an excellent investment in your health and physical comfort! |

Customer Reviews:Jennie Murphy (Tuesday, 18 November 2008)Rating: ![]() I've had my keeper now for quite a few months. Before my keeper I had horror periods with so much bleeding that I thought I was hemorrhaging and took myself to medical care more than once. Since I've had my keeper it's sooo much lighter. It took a couple months to get used to it but I would not go back to pads... no way! Love it Berry Gore (Tuesday, 25 September 2007) Rating: ![]() I am so pleased with the Keeper cup, I hate tampons...make me feel sick, I dislike the feeling of wetness and dripping with pads...but with the keeper, there is no wetness, you cannot feel your period loss, like when it soaks into a pad and there is no smell, environmentally friendly and YOU save heaps of $$$ no having to worry about buy sanitary products all the time. Took a few goes for me to get it right, had to cut a little off the stem, but other than that was fantastic, I highly recommend it. Sheryl Duruz (Friday, 21 July 2006) Rating: ![]() This isn't a raw food product exactly, but I love this product so much I knew we had to make it available to women in Australia! I've been personally using the Keeper exclusively for over 5 years. Given how much the average women spends on other menstration products this purchase has paid for itself many times over. The best part - it's so very simple. It's easy to put in, it has NEVER leaked, and it's quick and easy to empty. It's made having my period like any other day. No more messy pads or tampons! And you get to see what your flow is really like - pads and tampons make it look like so much more. And no more rush trip out to buy pads and tampons when you get your period unexpectedly! Doesn't that sound amazing?? Kelly Wood (Friday, 21 July 2006) Rating: ![]() I have only used this great little tool for one month but I love it already!!! It proved itself went I went down south for a 4 day surfing trip. How good is it especially for holidays/camping trips!! Firstly I didn't have to bother wondering if I had enough tampons with me as you use it over and over, and as it never ever leaked, I could wait until the convenience of our holiday villas' bathroom to change it - I would leave it in for hours while surfing, confident that I wasn't going to "overflow" like I have done so often with tampons if I didn't change them soon enough. There is no string to leak down onto your lovely knickers either! It was super comfortable no matter what I was doing - surfing, running, relaxing, soaking in the spa - anything! It took a few go's to get the length of the stalk right - I ended up cutting half of it off - but with that sorted it was easy. I was surprised with how empty it was each time I changed it (about twice a day), and sleeping in it was great - no leakage. Next time I will probably change it only once a day and still be confident in it. And I didn't get that dull ache "down below" that I have always got with tampons either. So over all, I'm chuffed and would recommend it to every female. The best thing for at home and trips away, I'll never go back to polluting the environment with tampons ever again! Sarah White (Friday, 21 July 2006) Rating: ![]() This product is superior to ordinary organic personal care products in every way. Not only does this product save heaps of money in disposable products and washing of reusables, but I have noticed less period pain with this product also. This is very interesting, because I have only been using organic personal care products for the past five years, so it must be doing something good. It is hard to go back to anything else after trying the Keeper. Highly recommended ladies! More... |
